Welcome to I.O.U. Collage for gifted individuals.

Ari

I pondered what Hellion had said for a moment before speaking. "What if we launched a reversal field around him? Reverse the effect of his rapid healing? Would that work? I could make one... would take me about a week between classes... after I got the parts. I'm sure Master could find me a reverse phase transition generator... and a pair of Alturian gerbils...."

Hellion "James" McKimble

"Not needed. They don't have memory. They aren't human, in a sense. They simply follow orders. Anyone they recognize as able to give them orders tells them what to do and they do it. Simple, really. Probably the Staff will find out it was hacked and punish the others for hacking it, then bring the Aid back as a student so it can punish it for allowing itself to be hacked."

He breathed hard, and turned at the sound of footsteps, and the overpowering smell of mint. He stared at the mutated giant rat coming up behind them. It had two right legs, and several arms growing out of strange places.

"Okay. On the count of three, run back towards the Aid. Three!"

Hellion grabbed Ari's arm, dragging her along as he ran. The rat screeched out its indignation and started after them.

Ari

"Ya know, I did get my workout in this morning," I protested as I got dragged down the hall. A giant rat- scary. Oh I was tremblin' afraid- not.
"So its a giant rat," I said, jogging alongside Hellion with Jamie close behind. "What's so bad about that? Can't we just shoot it? Or give it some cheese and send it away? And I thought the teacher's aid was bad! So why are we going back?"
Yeah, I knew it was a lot of questions, but this was getting insane.

Hellion "James" McKimble

Hellion stopped, and turned, looking at the giant rat bearing down on them. "Good point."

He pulled out his gun, aimed quickly, and squeezed off two shots, rapid fire. The first struck in the head, and the second hit it in am arm growing out of its chest.

The creature stumbled, but them picked up speed again.

Hellion turned, keeping a firm grip on Ari, and started running again.

"How about we just run until it dies?"

Ari

"These shoes aren't meant for running," I said, meaning the pretty sandles I'd worn. Shows me not to wear anything I can't run in here.
I pulled out my gunblade with my right hand, the pistol with my left and fired both into the rat thing. This, I knew we could at least wound, possibly kill. The TA- well that was debatable.
Unfortunatly, my gunblade was still set on Steamflare, not a wise thing with a giant mutated rat. Words cannot describe the scent though I'd try. Burnt mint, steamed flesh, crisped fur, and more, enough to make even an engeneer gag on it.
But, the attack did knock off a spare right leg and create a flesh wound- then cauterized it shut.
Shaking my head, I caught back up with Hellion, wishing I'd reset my gunblade before hitting it.
"Sorry bout that..."

Hellion "James" McKimble

"S'okay."

He ran along, pulling her with him. About halfway back to the cafeteria, Hellion finally git tired of running.

"Watch yourself, I don't know how well this will work!"

He Let go of Ari, turning as he interlaced both hands, pulling it around over his head as he tried to stop running. He brought his hands forward, slamming them into the ground with a rough yell of a few choice words.

Suddenly, a large chuck of campu ripped itself from the ground, it's spell shoving it, and the following rat, two or three students, and what was probably a staff member into the air as the large chunk of earth began to slowly flip.

Hellion stared at it a moment.

"Damnit. There was supposed to be a spike of rock attacking the rat. What'd I do wrong?"

Ari

"You're distracted," I suggested, looking at the now earth covered rat.
"You know, I don't think this is going to end cleanly," I said, shrugging. "Seems to be my day for getting filthy. Lets get rid of Godzilla rat here- might as well, it'll keep chasing us if we don't."
I reset my gunblade to Flare Arrow setting- it would sent out a spread burst of knifelike pulses that would leave at least leave bloody flesh wounds and at best kill it.
"I'm ready when you are."

Hellion "James" McKimble

He muttered the spell again to himself, a confused look on his face. He drew his weapon, looking around at the carnage that his spell had caused.

"Impressive, though. Gonna have to remember this one. Okay, I'm ready when you-"

Several arms broke free from the earth, dragged a warped and bloodly body out after them. A rat-like head turn, one eye taking them in and letting out a shrill noise.

"Jesus Motherfucking Christ," he said, "It's alive!"

Ari

"Obviously," I said, taking off to flank the monster. I moved untill there was no one behind the monster from the angle I'd be shooting and opened fire on the monster.
A few more arms and part of an ear sheered off of it, blood pooling around it in the earth. It shook, like a dog, splattering the muddy blood around it.
Hissing, I brushed some of it off of me- damn stuff was something my skin did not like.
"Great," I muttered. "Filty and acid burnt. Damn it- I'm not going to die this way!"
I opened fire once again, this time with a vengeance.
"Its not nice to scar a girl up, you know," I yelled as I fired. I shot a glance over at Hellion- his clothing covered more skin then mine did.
Vowing to buy a greater variety of coverals, I darted in, bringing my blade to bear against the rat monster.

Jaime ran around an corner, he lost sight of Hellion and Ari running since he dodged to the left. As soon as he relized that he was going the wrong way, he turned back and followed the trail of slimy pudding, hoping that the others were safe. As he followed the trail, he noticed that the closer he goten to the thing, the slimier and larger the trail became, so he charged his gloves just in case he had to engage in battle. 'I only have two more large charge attacks left, I better use them wisely!'

Hellion "James" McKimble

Hellion pulled his weapon quickly, opening it and trying hard to rummage through his clothes for that liitle part, that tiny little bit of equipment. He shook his gun, muttering and looking up in fear as the rat dragged itself out.

His fingers wrapped around metal and he drew it out. the part fell from his gun, bouncing on the sidewalk as he shoved the new part in and slammed the gun closed, bringing it to bear.

"Ari! Get back!"

'Ari! Get back!'

Jamie's eyes snapped open as he heard Hellion's voice. "There!" Jamie saw the giant thing, but couldn't see neither Hellion, nor Ari, but instantly considered the fact the thing was too big for him to see them.

"Hellion! Ari! Get out of the way! I'm going to blast this freak!"

Jamie stopped and taken a step back for leverage, before jolting into the air and swining his left arm, sending out one of the orbs into the rats right side. While in mid air, he made a front flip, sending him directly over an large lump that connected its head to the body, thats were he left the other charged up orb.

He landed right in front of Ari and Hellion. "I hope this works..." The rats right side, and top hump suddenly exploded, having pudding and blood fly every where. It groaned in agrivated pain shifting around trying to ease it. But other than that, it had no real effect. "You gotta be shiting me!"

Hellion "James" McKimble

"Time for cabbage!"

He stepped forward, bringing his gun up, and squeezed the trigger. He rocked back as it blasted forward, slamming into the rat. There was a bright flash of light, and the rat's body slumped forward, blood gushing out of it's neck as a cabbage rolled away.

"Okay, that's fuckin' strange."

Jamie watched as the cabbage rolled. "Dude... This whole fucking school is strange..." Jamie then jammed his hands into his pockets. "Anything else we have to worry bout? What about that teacher aid?"

Ari

I'd thrown myself away from the monster at Hellions shout, forgetting to take into consideration the fact that I wasn't in space anymore. The ground was kind enough to remind me of my mistake.
Cursings a blue streak, I rolled with it, managing to knock some of the gunk off of me. For all the good it did me since I got resplattered by Hellion's cabbage attack.
Filthy, stinging from the gore, and not a happy camper, I walked up to Hellion who was still relatively clean.
"Next time, a smidge more warning would be nice," I said evenly before throwing my arms around him, getting him almost as filthy as I was. Least he wouldn't have to wash it out of his hair, I thought.
The rat thing monster twitched and I turned on it, this time quite pissed. I hit flash fry on my gunblade and let it go, turning the remainder of the rat into a tempura covered acidic mess that wasn't going to move on its own ever again.
"That done with, lets get this damn teacher's aid, those remaining yo yo's and get cleaned up," I said. I looked at a lock of my hair. "I think this shits' bleaching my hair...."

Hellion "James" McKimble

Hellion pulled open his gun quickly, shaking it. The part he had just inserted fell out, glowing white. Hellion reached down, picking up the normal part that had fallen out earlier, and reinserted it. The glowing part was melting into the concrete.

He smiled at Ari, and lifted a hand, tapping his left temple. "Exeunt."

The matter that had come into contact with him when Ari had thrown her arms around him fell to the ground, leaving him clean. He smiled at her, and tapped her temple. "Exeunt."

The same happened to her. "It's the only spell my Former Master ever bothered to teach me. Seems he didn't like me tracking in mud, or my own blood. Helpful little thing, isn't it?"

He heard a sound behind them, and turned. "Well, speak of the Devil. Or, in this case, the Aid. Ummm,...I kind of can't turn him into a cabbage now, so, anyone else have any ideas?"

"Uh... You said he can regenrate right? What if we disentegrate him so he can't regenerate?" Jamie taken a step back, pulling out the sword from its holder. "I can do it... But I used most of my energy, so I can only do it once."

Ari

I looked at my hair- despite the cleaning it was still mildly banded- looked kinda cool though.
"Thanks Hellion," I said, kissing his cheek. I settled back on my own feet and pulled out my spare pistol. I took the shot cartrage from it and loaded it into my gunblade's empty slot. "Was running a bit low- good thing you didn't use this much, Hellion."
"Uh... You said he can regenrate right? What if we disentegrate him so he can't regenerate?" Jamie taken a step back, pulling out the sword from its holder. "I can do it... But I used most of my energy, so I can only do it once."
"You BBQ Mister Happy, and we'll take care of you," I told Jamie, meaning it. "But after that- we're taking a break. Dream team that we seem to be, I'm not to hot on the idea of being killed or worse expelled today for doing too much damage in self defense. My room's got a hop-gate in it to... elsewhere," I said, not wanting to mention my ship where others might hear, "we'd be safe there... once I turn off the antipersonel machines."

Hellion "James" McKimble

He beamed at Ari, spreading his wings wide behind him and checking the energy level on his spellcaster. He sighed, and looked between the two of them. He smiled at Ari again.

"Sounds like a ton-o'-fun. Let's go for it! Or at least, try real hard..."

Jamie wasn't sure if Ari and/or Hellion just gave him the go or not. In truth, he wasn't listening, he was too focused on charging every ounce of his spare energy for the disentegration attack. Without even thinking, Jamie pulled off his gloves, the charged up energy surrounding his right arm. "You might wanna get back..."

Aid growled and rushed torwards Jamie, think that sinced he's the youngest, he was the weakest. "See ya happy!" Jamie pulled his fist back, and swung it forward, connecting it with the aid's jaw, throwing him back.

"heh heh heh! Was that it you little brat?" The aid stood up, as if the punch was nothing. It wasn't until it was too late that he relized the side of his face that was punched was turning black. "Wh-what did you do?!" Jamie didn't answere, he just stood there as the aid turned pitch black, then began to fade away like ash flying in the wind. "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

Jamie turned back to Ari and Hellion. "That wasn't so tou..." Jamie fell to his knees, the after effect of the attack hitting him hard. "Taken more energy than I thought..."

Ari

I cursed as I covered Jamie and watched him fall.
"Hellion-kun, hold off the crowd, would ya," I said, trusting he'd do it. I sheathed my blade though I didn't clip it in- quickdraw.
I knelt next to Jamie. "Can you move?"
He tried to shake his head. Shaking my head, I pulled his arm around my shoulder. I took a deep breath, pulling in my own magic, willing the tiny machines, nanomechs, that ran through me to do my bidding. Using the extra power, I pulled Jamie onto my back in an odd sort of piggy back hold.
"Just don't get too friendly," I said jokingly. "Hellion- lets head for my room."
As we went I caught the irony of what I'd said- inviting a guy to my room not for something naughty, no inviting him to my room while carrying another on my back so we wouldn't get killed before we could rest up.
What a day...

Hellion "James" McKimble

Hellion covered them, trying not to waste any shots, and attempting to ensure they didn't get killed. Not the easiest thing in the world-well, okay, it was. Hellion guessed they assumed the Aid to do much of the work. And, facing that, a pils of messy rubble and a cabbage, most sane people were calling it a day and going back to their classes, where at least the insanity was predictable.

There was, of course, always the loonies to deal with. Hellion started after them, and nodding a bit to himself and trying to make sure no one got the bright Idea to attack them.

"I-I'm okay Ari..." Jamie slowly got off of Ari, he stumbled backwards a bit, but quickly regained his balance. "I used up alot of energy,. I just need to rest for a bit, thats all." Jamie slowly and cautiosly shook off the dazed feeling and followed Ari

"So you say," I said, watching Jamie for signs of shock. He looked none to steady.
Something said earlier came to mind. "Hellion- you said the teacher's Aid's a computer right? Couldn't we have just reversed hacked it?"

Hellion "James" McKimble

He sighed, and looked around, noting most of the persuers had fallened back. He shok his head, and at Ari. He opened his mouth, and closed it again.

"Ari, a Teacher's Aid isn't quite a person, isn't quite a zombie, isn't quite a computer. Don't think of it in any terms but its own. An aid is and Aid, and there's no point comparing it to anything else."

He looked around again, shooting towards an approaching figure. "Think we could step it up a bit?"
