I want to enjoy freely using the Like button but what if that inadvertently leads to more pm's? I mean, I want to be friendly but I don't want to be THAT sociable...

I'm British. It's in my genes that I answer back. Like, it's nearly impossible for me to be rude unless the person truly deserves it. I'm starting to shake already at the idea that I'd just blatantly ignore a pm. What would the Queen say?!?!

There's nothing to be confused about...I don't think ...what's happening here is that I have brilliantly engineered a situation in which you need to PM me in order to satisfy your curiosity regarding whether increased likes lead to increased PMs and by doing so you will simultaneously be proving your own thesis!

You also have the option to restrict your messages to people you follow or no one. (I’d suggest at least limiting it to members- I think it’s set to anyone by default.)

Also, I’ve been liberally been using the Like button, but it’s only lead to a few more PMs, but higher quality than a boobatar probably would

It looks like you need an app, there’s nothing on the iPhone that allows it. I found this article on what apps are good: https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-record-calls-on-an-iphone

Also, they talk about needing consent of the other party in some places, but it’s US based, not sure what the laws are in the UK
