What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

I’m in the office today (it’s a slow day after a hectic last week). Don’t normally listen at work. When I was last at home, I was listening to the Brandenburg Concertos. Kinda a classical girl.

Em

I just read Yeat's poem, "The Song of Wandering Aengus".

When I learned that it was the inspiration for Bob Lind's song, I had to go listen to it once more.

Demonical - Mass Destroyer

Swedish Death Metal. Parts Amon Amarth, parts Dismember, parts Hypocriy. Always powerful, sometimes majestic, with a fine melody or guitar solo. My kind of comfort food, especially when played so loud the neighbors hear most of it too. ;)

Chillaxing to some old school/new school soul.

Silk Sonic (Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars) - Leave the Door Open

The winds orchestra I play in has this programmed for our spring concert. Ethereal. Haunting:

And a bitch to perform. The sustained soft pitches are chops-killers.

Rush - Moving Pictures (album)

I like most Rush albums, but the ones I seem to go back to more than the others are Roll The Bones, Counterparts and this one.

I'm writing a story but at the same time listening to
  • Storm Front

  • The Dresden Files, Book 1
  • By: Jim Butcher
  • Narrated by: James Marsters

Beethoven, Piano Concerto #5, Alfred Brendel:

(music starts at 8:45)

Skip over the part before the music if you like, but I find that just as fascinating; a story, or at least a character, shouts to be written.
