What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Alfred Brendel playing Beethoven's Waldstein piano sonata. I enjoy his precise style of playing. It lets the composer's work speak for itself.

Randall Stroope's Amor de mi Alma.

My symphonic winds group is working on a nice arrangement of this for the next concert, and the oboe commands most of the piece. Much of it is in a difficult key (key of B major - five sharps, if anybody here cares. Rare in winds lit), so I am having to practice for a change simply to not fumble the reading.

Evil Invaders - In Deepest Black

Never heard of these guys before stumbling over this True Metal masterpiece. There's a bit of WASP and Metal Church DNA in the instrumental and a LOT of Judas Priest and my god he's insane in the vocals. I'll spend a few hours digging through their back catalog to find out if this is their usual level of quality.
Fuck yeah, this song is fantastic!

I could fill an entire album with song titles like "How Hard Can It Be To Roll A Seven?" and "Fucking Landed On The Graveyard AGAIN???" ;-)

When I get to Heaven - John Prine (RIP)

those syphilitic parasitics,

Bits and pieces from the new Jethro Tull album.

Like I've said to Litfan recently: Those old geezers still know how to rock.", considering how good the new albums by Kansas, Blue Öyster Cult, Styx, Billy Idol and Tull have turned out. Even Bryan frickin' Adams hasn't lost much of his touch, even though the drum on his new single sound rather programmed and cheap.
