I know exactly what you mean about protecting yourself. I have been hurt terribly by people. I have met here over the years which is why I am very careful who I open up to and what I choose to share. The first moment I feel
I am being headgamed by someone I cut ties. It’s not worth it.

This has something thats been on my mind quite a lot. How easily we treat others as disposable.

There's a larger conversation worldwide that could happen about that but here, I mean how we treat each other. Obviously we cant be close to everyone, that would be logistically impossible and not everyone is a good match for everyone else BUT to see people write others off for a relatively minor transgression or hurt feelings instead of having the uncomfortable but productive conversation AND THEN complain about feeling lonely or on the outside of things.

It bumps me the wrong way sometime. I know there are very good reasons to step away sometimes but I watch people really blowing through other humans like they are napkins sometimes.

None of us are disposable. We all matter. (well except maybe a few of the alts and scammers)

I can be abrasive, self righteous and outlandish with the shit I say at times but I enjoy interacting with each and everyone of you just as you are. I hope all of you can find your place amongst the rest of us perverts..

I also arse around a lot on the threads and my chatting is *very* limited, however my personal reason is that I know I'm unreliable in my being here or available to converse on a regular occasion that it's just easier to keep everyone at arm's length. I do make it clear as much as I can that I'm not here to 'find' anyone. Yet still, I sometimes end up in an awkward position of being guilt tripped for posting on threads instead of private conversation. I don't know how to be more clear, and I refuse to dampen my style, and so I'll also continue to stick to superficial as a general rule.

And you're absolutely right. It doesn't seem to matter what reasons women have to be here, it isn't as easy for us to be here as it seems, especially when we know what we want. :heart:
