Sounds like my ex's mom (she's an NP in Minnesota). Always maintained she was a people person first and foremost, and grumbled about the schooling. Very no-nonsense, "let's get to the heart of the matter" kinda person and one of the best people you could ever meet.

From what I've read of your posts on the board, I think you'll be an excellent NP. School can be an absolute slog, so I'm rooting for you
