That's an interesting dynamic to ponder. I think my default setting has indeed moved to a more curmudgeonly point, though.

My bullshit detector is much more keenly dialed in.

My patience for the willfully ignorant is famously short now.

The degree to which I care whether I'm liked has plummeted to all time lows, and I don't foresee a recovery.

I'm just comfy in a "do no harm, but take no shit" philosophy.

I have the blessing of being able to travel so much... that is a true gift in my life...

But... as much as I travel I just am scared of planes and air flight...Being at the destination is the beauty... just not the ride there

My last flight earlier this month had turbulence quite bad for most of the 2 hour flight...and I knew it was bad when my hubby got scared... nothing phases him in that regard usually...

The worst for me was when I lived in Thailand and was back and forth between there and USA... any flight where you are over the ocean for 13-14 hours is just too much ( for me )...
