I’m thinking that there doesn’t reach a point offline where guys suddenly decide, we’re at that point in our friendship where you ought to be showing me yourself nude.
Well, okay, guys may want it and try - but they don’t expect it irl.
So why does the expectation seem to be so different here?

Because it is a sex site and lots of inhibitions are lower here. Also because if you ask for folks to show you pics in the threads they may think you want them to show you.
I still think they should confirm before sending but they may think you are interested.
