Used book stores are wonderful. Mine will also order anything new I want. Just say no to Amazon and support your local bookstore.

I agree to a point. The problem with used book stores is that they can only get you books that are published. While that sounds obvious, without Amazon and services like them - there are a number of books that would never get published. There are some really good books out there by authors who would never get into mainstream publication.

True and e-books keep books in print and get authors more royalties. I just don't like one company controlling the supply chain as much as they do, and local book stores really let you browse.
