Its hard to read very much. Its written in a poem form, name I can't recall, that isn't easy to follow. I feel like I'm walking in field grass. Stumbling along.

This week I finished "In the House of My Mother" by Sharie Franke, about growing up with her monster of a mother. And, "Shallow Graves" by Ray Fysh, about the Forensic Science Service in the UK.

After those two, I need a trashy romance or erotica next to cleanse my pallet!

Do you know which translation are you reading?

Depending on the specific one, it could be a prose or verse translation. One reads more like a narrative/novel (prose), while the other reads more like a poem (verse). Some modern verse translations can be difficult to follow.

the book is in my car. I can't recall the translator. Before buying the book I did some reading about the translator. The one i got came out on top of several lists.

Yes, Fagles and Rieu. Also like Rieu's translation of The Iliad.

I prefer the Fagles and Rieu translations (each has their own flavor). Lattimore's translation is good, but can be a bit "academic", so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for someone just reading for leisure.

The Guilty Girl by Ruth Harrow

Fiction spy thriller called Cry Havoc by Jack Carr. Set in 1968 Vietnam war, Cold War enemies, commies vs allies, behind enemy line missions, all that stuff. It’s fantastic so far.

I’ve read the first 3 or 4 in the Terminal List series of 7 or 8 books, I can’t remember how many. But they are all fantastic.
