What Book Are You Currently Reading?

Copperhead - Bernard Cornwell

I am a long time fan of Bernard Cornwell's "Sharpe's Rifles" series. I have them all, and also DVD's of the TV movies they made from those novels (with Sean Bean as Sharpe). Fun stuff (and educational - learned a lot about the Napoleonic Wars).

Still reading The Witch Elm... it's been slow moving. It took 6 lengthy chapters of back story and detail for it to finally become interesting. I'm invested now and must know what happens next.

Just finished 'The Drowned World' by J G Ballard,

Not sure whats next

The Sabotuers by Clive Cussler.
Brain dead reading because I read tech stuff all day.

I have three books going currently;

Butcher's White Night (Only read aloud to my sweet little spice to put her to sleep. Usually four paragraphs before she starts snoring.)
Collins' Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods (On loan from her daughter)
Abercrombie's Best Served Cold (Thanks again, Xerxes!)

Holy Smoke: The Big Book of North Carolina Barbecue John Shelton Reed, Dale Volberg Reed, William McKinney.

I get it. I put down The Windup Girl for now. Reading short stories about Kink, in a book called Kinks Stories.
On deck is Bill Bryson.

I finished The Witch Elm today. It was worth it. The second half of the book is where it's at. It's a great murder mystery with a lot of twists that I didn't expect. If you can get past the first few chapters it's worth reading.

"Ten Days" by Mel Sherratt. It's okay. Not as riveting as I was expecting.

I'm just starting Unbury Carol by Josh Malerman. I try not to read multiple books at once but all my library holds became available at once! So far I like it.
