The saying goes (at least I think this is how it goes) that it've been a bad day if you haven't learned something new.

So I was wondering, what have you learned today, that you'll share with us?

One thing I learned today was that according to the movie De-Lovely Cole Porter was bisexual/gay.

I learned that even when one of my students has had a bad day and I barley made it through without losing it....his surprise hug and an I'm sorry at the end of the day can erase all of that days frustration.

Today I learned that a 45 second phone call, ended with "I love you", can vastly improve my mood for the rest of the day, and likely well into the weekend, too!

I learned gracie is a Christian, too. How cool is that? :nana:

Hey! Me too! (that she is one just now, but I mean that I am too)

Today I learned that life, and people, can be very disappointing. And that I can make my mother cry.

But now you will play with us Pagans too right??? I sure hope so.

I'm not really Pagan but I'm not much of anything in the belief department.

I believe in love, sensation and doing ones best.

That's about it.

I dunno about EG, but I have no problem with pagans. Some of my favorite people are pagans. Not to mention wiccans, athiests, jews, . . .um I forget what shy is, but her religion, too. To tell the truth their are very few Christians I like.

I always thought Pagan would make a great name for a little girl!

LOL!

Actually, it would. I mean if you can call boys Christian, why can't you call girls Pagan?

Its Spiritualist Lol

We believe in angels and that people who have died continue to care and support us from another place.

I also believe in communicating with people who have died, but most people who say or think they can are fake and have other ulterior motives for doing and saying it (but thats life *shrug*)

I used to be able to see dead people but now I sense and sometimes hear them.

Some Spiritualists are Christian and some are not. Christianity is a seperate issue to Spiritualism.
Its not pagenism or witchcraft.

Brief History Lesson
It orginated in USA from two sisters called The Fox sisters, who later admitted faking proof that dead people communicated. It was illegal to be a Spiritualist in the UK until the mid 1950's, prior to that you could be imprisoned for witchcraft. An Act of Parliament means that we can practice and have churches, marry, be baptised, be buried just like any other religion. Due to the way the legal system works it is the only religion in the UK that has an Act of Parliment to allow people to practice their beliefs.
Lesson Over

I don't care what peoples religion is I am more interested in whether someone think they are a good person and how they live their life as a good person.

Cool. I'm open to more than Christianity, frankly. I believe in a lot of things most Christians don't believe in, becuase I know that their's no where in the bible that says that whatever it is doesn't exist.

As for communicating with dead people . . . lol I know K doesn't believe in that, but I think their's too much evidence otherwise to discount it.

Well, more like something I've learned over the course of the last four days: Even though I love Beth with all my heart and want to be with her forever, sometimes it's actually a good thing to just be friends for awhile. In fact, we both have agreed that since she broke up with me on Sunday, we have felt more relaxed and calm with each other then we have in months. Our relationship was getting too intense and strained, focused too much on the future that we can't do anything about right now (because of school, lack of money, etc). Now that we are just friends, those problems aren't there are we are feeling happy and carefree with each other again. Never in my entire life would I have thought I'd ever say this, but I really honestly am glad that she broke up with me (although I was hysterical with anger and sadness when it happened).

Good for you Heather!

*hugs*

You found the silver lining in the cloud!

I've learned over the course of this week that clinicals are a good thing and that I am going to LOVE my job when I finish school! :D

I learned this week that time and memories can be really confusing.
And kids perceptions and memories are funny too.
And that having relatives is kinda nice.
I met my nephew for the first time since he was 7. He's now 25.
We figured out that I was just 20 the last time I was in my hometown.
I once sent him a Metallica tape for xmas. He didn't know who they were then and put it in a cupboard. A couple of years later he found it and thought he had the coolest aunt in the world, and everytime he listened to Metallica after that he wondered where I was and what I was up to.. ( I cut family ties for a long time)
He told me he still thinks I am really brave and amazing. :)
( and in better condition than his mom.. :D)

I learned that sometimes you can't protect people no matter how much of youself you put into watching over them.

I've learned yesterday that there are some urges you just don't follow.

What urges did you decide not to follow? ;)

I think he wanted to pee on an electric fence.

What? Peeing is an urge, too ya know.

LOL!

Oh yes it is. It's a nice tight urge resulting in a warm golden release.

I learned that watching obesity shows on TLC is a real appetite killer.
(So far the 627 pound woman and an over 1000 pound man  )
