Oh, you probably need to understand Clonezilla... unless you have someone in your thrall who understands it. It's simple to use, and if you clone a fleshly formatted partition into which you have just installed a clean copy of an operating system, you needn't reformat and reinstall when, for example, Adobe Creative Suite CS4* gets cute with its fucking licensing scheme. All you need to do is copy the mirrored clean partition back, et voilà you're ready to rock & roll.

*Does anyone know the phrase for something that references itself in its abbreviated name, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite CS4? I know there's a word/phrase for it, but it escapes my memory at the moment?

My older brother had a Trash-80, but this was pre-floppy drive. Instead, it came with a cassette recorder with which you could load small programs... if the volume was set just right. I had a simple text only RPG (like Zork) called Adventureland. It took 20 minutes for 3.5KB the game to load.
