What do you want from life?

Egad, Sidney! Where in the name of holy floggers did you find THIS ancient thread? I had forgotten I ever started it. (And so, apparently, had everyone else, since no one's been to it in >6 years! LMAO)

Love and happiness are my base needs.

What I'd like beyond that is to make enough at my costumes that I can live comfortably, have a place big enough for me to live, entertain, and create as well as display my work in, and have that place always filled with the love I share with my SO. Oh and him living in said place with me would be nice too!

I'd like to travel and see all of the castles on my list, as well as the museums and ruins.

Oh my dream kitchen that would be as big as my current apt.

but for the most part, all I want from life is love and happiness. I'm really a simple creature

Easy question

Play with the people I love, eat well, and explore the world.

What do I want from life?

A man who I can love, trust and care for, and have all that in return. (I can check that one off my list!)

A nice home where I can make my mark.

A job I enjoy.

Chunks of free time so I can write.

The opportunity to travel and share those experiences with loved ones.

I don't know - I don't think most of us would really like to be really, really rich - Bill Gates rich. You lose so much privacy.

But -- what are the things that would make you as an individual happy? What would it take for you to wake with a smile on your lips, looking forward to the day, and drift to sleep satisfied with your life?

Ha! Serendipity!

I've been thinking about this question for months, found the thread, and had to reply even though I felt shy about it. I think it's a question that helps give your life a focus, as it's so easy to get distracted and live unconsciously.

I want my kids to maximise their potential and be happy.

I'd like enough money not to worry about making ends meet.

I'd like to find my focus again.

I keep seeing the same overall themes here.

(I still enjoy reading the replies.)

I want to be the boss. I never want to have to take orders from another human being ever again. I suck it up when I have to, but I abhor it.

(I also want more children, all of them to be happy and healthy, and for them to produce happy and healthy grandchildren.)

I want just enough to sustain a living, and have a bit leftover to give to charity.

I want to obtain some disgusting level of education in a lucrative field or have a lucrative business - so that I can sustain a living ... and be the boss.

Oh, I almost forgot.

Bacon.

Bacon makes me happy.

I have everything I want from life and if I decide I want something else thats realistic then I make sure I get it. Life is much to short to want and not do anything about it.

I have a pretty good life but before i die, I'd love to experience peace of mind. Maybe it's over rated and I'll get bored but it would be exciting for a while.

Now i'm wondering.. does anyone really have peace of mind. No problems, no worries, nothing to spoil that great time. those split second thoughts that creep in. Perhaps it is just a pipe dream.

Mostly to be left alone in my tiny little wedge of the earth. Avoiding hassles seems to be the highest calling that I can think up.

Re: Hello..

Contentment - I have been debt free but still had that edge of feeling I could do more, be more.

Spent most of my life work focused.

Looking around and being content with my situation - relationship, family, work.

That peace cannot be objectively assessed
