Nibiru is a "mythical" planet with an orbit of, err, 2,600 years (I think) that is supposed to be the result of a collision as interpreted by Zachariah Sitchin from the ancient Babylonian texts.

Lord is partly to make Nibiru more human and partly cos those ancient texts tend to refer to planets as gods.

All pretty geeky, but I loves it.
