What Is Fear To You?

True fear for me is thinking about losing one of my children. I have had untold nightmares about it and pray none ever become reality.

Then recently I had to come face to face with that very fear as my daughter was at school when a tornado warning was issued and I couldn't be with her until it was safe. I couldn't get an answer at the school, so you can imagine what was going through my mind at the time. Thank God, I got there and everything was fine.

A common fear that one is! I have had it myself over the years, it does seem to lesson as they grow older, but it always comes back strong when the threat becomes a possibility!

~~Fears~~

Fears we all have them

for some its a fear that consumes us for others its just a tickle at the back of there mind, the bold the outspoken, the quiet the shy, within those fears we all share a common theme.

some fears hold us bound while others give us a taste of exhilaration to know these differances is to realize the common in each of us!

each of us would be surprised to see what another fears, while finding a touch and a taste of that same fear within us!

I fear for the safety of my son also. But all parents have that. We face it everyday.
Yup you are correct, normal everyday fears
My fear is not finding someone to love, or more to the point, not finding someone to love me and accept me, flaws and all. This brings us to the real fear, being alone. Not the kind of alone we all need, but the kind when you look around after experiancing something wonderful or tragic and there is no one to share it with, no one to comfort you. I could experiance everything there is to offer in the world, but if I cant share it with my love, what is the use.
This one is as well one we all have, no one understand why we feel the need for that "ONE" to be there, only that its very necessary to keep our sanity. worry not, it does come, just not always when we want it to! sometimes there are many lessons to be learned before we find what we really are in search of! some are joyful, others very painful, with each we grow and change a bit, taking some of that knowledge with us into tomorrow, never stop dreaming, of when it takes you by the hand and dances you into it!
and snakes too
YEEK!! I AGREE!!

1. I fear being alone. (that's why I haven't left my husband)
2. I fear not being loved.
3. I fear losing my Master.
4. I fear failure.
5. I fear losing my child.
6. Above all else, I fear rejection.

Leaving my wife and boy was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I wonder sometimes if I was right, I know i was but the lonliness can get you down.

ML, we have seen each other in a different thread, you seem like a nice person trying to find her way.

As hard as leaving is, it is liberating.

Take care.

Thanks Jack, I am trying to find my way, but am more lost than anything.

Never give up that fear! never risk losing them and you will not! be who your meant to be, 1st and formost a Mother
6. Above all else, I fear rejection.

They had this same question on another thread and I after some soul searching decided I fear nothing. I have dislikes, but fear no. I have worked in the dark, been in fires, danger, even explosions ,under floors in tight, dark places, seen the dead been in situations where one spark would mean obliteration.

I arrive at the conclusion that I have no imagination, sad huh :D

Why Thank you dear BC, iam honored you posted in my thread, somehow, I never would have thought you one to fear much of anything any how, something in the way you carry yourself! one can look at you and see little fear in your eyes, while Iam sure you don't fear as many do, in time you will find one, as its only human nature to have one, simple things usually as the largest of fears, I will admit reading your stories that you are fairly well grounded in who you are, perhaps your fear are for others you care about? even in that, you tend to strike me as one who thinks we should pull ourselves up by our own boot straps and make the best of every situation! (close?) even so in time I'm sure we can find one, and if not, well I will share my fear of *snakes* with you!
