re: buffy and all things whedon: i was first introduced to the greatness of joss whedon watching firefly, believe it or not. i watched buffy courtesy of a friend's DVD set, which contains the entire ep as originally filmed. it's usually cut when it's broadcast b/c it runs a bit longer than most.
if you participate in either the blockbuster of netflix programs, consider throwing season 6 into your queue. :>
