What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

You need to set the right mood to learn French.
Hah! Maybe my learning would be more efficient with a sexy profile pic, too. :D

Sadly, it’s just someone’s coding project. A bot “learning” English, not even French.

Coming across a Schitt’s Creek reference in the wild. I think I need to watch it again because it’s just so wholesome while everything else is just so… not.

I had such a good weekend. I need to be alone at times. I need to be better at remembering it and reminding others of the need as well.

Snow!

I'm a very enthusiastic Nordic (aka cross country) skier. We got our first bit of snow today (in Minnesota). Not enough to ski yet, but it won't be long! I count myself among the few who really, really look forward to the snow and cold!

Cozy winter curtains up in all the downstairs rooms! And I found a nice warm sweater when shopping with the kid.

This. Me too.
I’m currently doing Modern Family, which has its moments, but the snark factor is much higher than Schitt’s.

I’ve not watched Modern Family but I’m kind of interested. I think the format will probably be hardest for me to enjoy. Schitt’s Creek has a kind of whimsy about it. Absurd and hilarious, and so accepting that it just gave me the warm fuzzies the whole way through. I loved the portrayals of healthy relationships full of love and understanding.

I "threw myself" at a friend one time and was depressed because he didn't take me up on my offer. About a decade later I told him that crushed me. He had no clue what I was talking about, said that if I had actually thrown myself at him, things would have happened. :D face palm

OMG! lol

Now I'm curious to know how on earth was your "throwing" technique?:D

Some men (points at self) are impossibly dense in these matters.

In that case, I would go for the jugular. :D

I can confirm. My 20 year old self was often oblivious to a poor, deranged woman throwing herself in explicably at me. I often heard words to the effect:

"That girl over there seems to like you?"

"Which one?"

"The one waving her bra at you."

"Oh, the Blonde. I hadn't noticed."

Sadly, I was far to shy then to take advantage of the situation...
