I'm going on a road trip with my teens and we were joking about our musical tastes. One of them said, I listen to adult music, mom, you can't surprise me.

Well then miss young adult... Challenge accepted

So I'd love to know your favourite absolutely unhinged songs (lyrically or musically) so I can retain my alt status with my kids. Actually I want them to know that music is art and expression, that there is nothing wrong with whatever speaks to them. Thanks!

My obvious 1st choice is Nine Inch Nails - Closer.
Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch
The Offspring - Bad Habit
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Semisonic - Singing in my Sleep (this is for the musical need to weird out on the overlapping time signatures)
Tool - Schism (same reason as above)
Ben Folds Five - Brick
Tool - Die Eier Von Satan (funny if you know the truth)

Not sure how much scarring you intended though, so take all of this with a grain of salt
