I went grocery shoppin at around 3 am and some asshole cut in front of me with his big shiny Escalade and then slowed down cuz he got a phone call. opening mail this morning from my utility comapny which informs me that for the past year at my new home our gas meter has not been reading properly. They then inform me that the must tabulate the actual useage of the meter during that time and bill me accordingly. Then I get the little printout which says that what I was billed and what I payed for the past year was $86....what I actually am getting billed now based on " average" use for my neighborhood is $889!!!! Oh and since they value me as a customer they'd be happy to make payment arrangements!

Ex-fucking-scuse me!!! Your equipment malfunctioned! Your company took a year to notice that it's equipment was not working! You failed to maintain said equipment routinely, and yet I'm supposed to pony up the alleged $800 in billing differences!?
I don't fucking think so, and I'm pretty sure any decent lawyer would agree with me, so unless they're willing to monday just eat their losses I'll be taking a little trip to the family attorney.

another thing that is starting to piss me off more and more these days...
people who have never served in the military making blanket statements about those who do, as though having watched Platoon gives you some sort of decisive insight into the military! I was out shopping yesterday and I saw a bumper sticker on a car that said the other half of my heart is in Iraq and one of the idiot women I was with proceeds to say "well then the other half of your heart is stupid!" I was sooooo angry that I just couldn't contain myself. I just absolutley flew off at the handle on this woman asking her how she dared to condem a man for doing what he had promised he would do if called on simply because she disagrees with the politics of tose giving his orders. How could she make such a blanket statement against a man who chose to honor his comittment to his country and it's people, even though it might mean his life was at risk. In my book that called for far more honor and love of nation then it required her to sit there and point accusatory fingers at a man she had never met who took on the task of ensuring she had the freedom to condemn him!
It's still pissing me off almost 24 hrs. later.
