NEW YORK - Fiddling with your iPhone behind the wheel can get you fined across much of the nation. But many states are more than happy to tweet you with up-to-the-minute directions on how to steer clear of a traffic jam.

It is a mixed signal that some safety experts and politicians say could be dangerous.

At least 22 states that ban texting while driving offer some type of service that allows motorists to get information about traffic tie-ups, road conditions or emergencies via Twitter.​

thinking about how crap my birthday was.

...something just set me off thinking about it this morning.

I did have some expectations.....not huge ones. Infact quite small in the scheme of things. I purposely kept any hopes small so they wouldn't be dashed *laugh*

But it seems I was wrong to have any.

I knew it would be difficult because it was a 'significant'' one (or apparently not lol) and I was away from family and friends.

But when I stop and think, rightly or wrongly, I am disappointed and a little hurt.

Waking up at 4am ....still awake at 5.30 so get up to read so I don't disturb Sir. Noticing the strange red light coming through the blinds, opening them up to find Sydney is in the middle of its biggest dust storm in 70 years I can't see the park across the road 100m away. It's very eerie.....but all gone by 2pm

Glad to hear the sand is gone thou. Not a good thing for your lungs.

We stayed inside all day with windows and doors shut, Sir was having dialysis anyway so no biggie. Even though the car was under cover in the garage area it has a thin film of red dust all over it. Cars outside were covered in it, and I'll have to wipe over the clothes racks on the balcony before the next lot of washing goes out, and sweep the dust off it so I don't track it back inside!

Tried to work it off by cleaning out the garage filling the truck with flatened boxes, finnally then the recycling centre is closed Wednesdays! Fuck!
