Why can't things ever, EVER go right for me? Is it really too much to ask that I might have some good luck? I've become a human rabbit's foot. Everybody I associate with has great, fantastic, amazing stuff happen to or for them, and I'm getting bupkis. One of my best friends has reunited with the girl who worships the ground he walks on. An acquaintance has just been posted to New York on business for three months and, even though he's inside a transparent closet, leaves behind a girlfriend who is utterly gorgeous. A third has landed what she calls her dream job not one week ago.
I want something now. It's my turn.

Oh, and here's the kicker. My coworker holds the same position as I do. She is chronically ill. I haven't seen her once in the last weeks. She is not well, to put it lightly. In the time she's been off, I've been doing her work and mine and taking on additional responsibilities. I was on a casual contract. She was on a permanent contract. She has been retained. I have not. Explain how that's fair.

It's not. Abandon the notion of "fair", it does not exist, except in those rare instances where humans artificially create it.

I think these bastards that phone you when your having your dinner to sell you stuff should be lined up on a white line and shot. Then brought back to life, and shot again. If I wanted a mobile phone, or a new all singing all dancing one for that matter, I would go to a shop and BUY one...I certainly dont have to explain to them lot the reason I am turning down their "wonderful" offer...or have them phone back after Ive hung up and get snotty with me. Pricks. Grrrrrrr

lol well I live in the back of beyond in Scotland...so its possible that having a governement that wasnt perpetually pished would be more than us lol
