Trolls don't normally make me this annoyed, but over on IC I've butted heads with a guy who hijacked a potentially very interesting threads to whine about people using the word "punishment" "inappropriately" (no matter how many times or how many people tried to point out he had no right to force other people to change their definitions of anything to appease him, he couldn't grasp it). Now, he's at it again.

Could the fact that the masochist gets off it not be disregarded, however, if it's causing a conflict? By this I mean, the sadist will hurt the masochist because the sadist wants to: the fact that he masochist enjoys it is coincidental.

It's not that I don't care what the masochist is getting out of being hurt, it's that it's secondary to what I'm getting out of it - i.e. pleasure. If she's deriving pleasure out of being hurt then fantastic, we're both enjoying ourselves, but even if she isn't, I'm not bothered

Then you aren't a sadist - because you aren't being the least bit cruel. You might not even be a Dom - because you are doing what she wants - if she's enjoying it.
