And maybe I should implement a series of checkpoints, so that no one can continue the same post beyond reaching a checkpoint?

I've recently returned and am sort of lurking around, sometimes looking for an interesting thread to join, but mostly just enjoying everyone else's creative work. Keep it up, guys

I have a few vague ideas for threads myself, but I'm not sure if they're gonna pan out to be anything interesting.

alright trey, if you're going to create it, then maybe you should be a.... dark lord is what their coonly refered to, game master is what they are in video games, basicly the opposition of the hero's so you could be nature, or the animals rockslides. pretty much you would play the roll of god. so if someone did run ahead, you could catch them in a avalanche and they get thrown back several kilometers or miles or whatever. alps right? then kilometers. just thinking.

excelent! so far you and trey are the only ones who have talked a little about it. but i thik it would be fun. because it wouldn't be all serious, i mean i WAS created by monty python right? how could it lol. we would play with it. have fun. come on! anyone who is interested speak up. and if you aren't, go see the meaning of life and then you will.

lol i know. we should do those too, but i think that the crimson tide would be hillarious, because there is no real story line to it. where as we know what happens to the people in those movies. but yeah. lets talk about the grail and the life of brian

PS- The only problem with the Crimson Tide Ins. Agency is for players to come up with posts that would be funny enough that it is worthy of a Monty Python thread!

Maybe some of you can help me fine tune this thread idea I have, I've mentioned this before so bare with me if you're sick of me talking about this.

The thread would be based on heist films: Out of Sight, Ocean's 11, The Heist, The Score, etc. The main story centers around a recently released convict forced into stealing a diamond. Players would consist of thieves, police, federal agents, and other mob type elements. I think I would have to play a GM role, to make sure someone doesn't steal the diamond before it's ready to go. So...can I get some feedback on this? TY

hmmm Pm, you sound kind of saddened about being a GM. why not tell poolive or someone tat you are the GM, but will not act like one, and if someone gets out of hand, PM us and we'll kick in a door and replace some organd wilth lead.

Relax, man, GMing isn't that hard. You just have to be able to distance yourself from the other players a little, and look down on the world you created from a different vantage. Its pretty easy to play a character in the thread at the same time, too, so long as you remember to treat your other self as just one of the guys.
Good luck, I've read enough by you that I think you'd be pretty good at it, you've got the right mindset and your ideas are brilliant!

Trey I've never had that problem before. Maybe it's because you just started, wait a bit then try again.

I've never seen that happen before either. Every registered person should be capable of creating a thread. It has nothing to do with the amount of time you've been here, because there's other on the board with fewer posts than you with threads running as we speak.
The only thing I can suggest, other than checking your Lit control panel: Options screen to see if anything is flagged, is to PM Laurel or Manu. They're the administrators, and should be able to fix the problem for you. Chances are, its a glitch, and your thread creation privileges have been disabled by accident. You can PM them directly, of you can click on Home on the Lit screen to get to the Lit startup screen, and follow the links there.
Let me know how it turns out, it might even be a result of that new server they just installed, it was the reason why Search got disabled for so long. (Although fortunately thats now been fixed)

No I think if you update or change your information, including registering, their is a grace period. But contacting Laurel or Manu would be the best move.
