When I Was a Kid....

I proudly wore my plastic Road Runner costume one Halloween when I was a younger Litster. That little hole, just big enough so that the company didn't get sued for a child suffocating, but as you said, sharp enough to cut your tongue.

Good times. Good times.

I was a Barbie Bride Princess thing! And they came in a box with the mask in the front so you would go to the store so you would just pick your box and you were all set to go!

Plastic dress/jumpsuit, plastic mask with the little hole for mouth, and your plastic jack o'lantern candy bucket was all you needed for an awesome Halloween.

So many questions...:)

Maybe I should have worded what I said differently. My butt obviously looked super padded when leaving my dad's store. Before I got in the car to leave I always got caught and made to return the stolen goods.

Candy from your butt returned to the store?:)

WIWAK my favorite costume was my Optimus Prime one in the first grade (ironic since I consider myself more of a Megatron)

WIWAK - I loved to climb to the very top of the highest tree and sway with the wind. It scared the shit out of me but I loved it!

WIWAK, all the television stations signed off late at night with the Star Spangled Banner before turning into snow.

(We had to explain that to our kids while recently watching 'Poltergeist'.)

WIWAK we would spend HOURS with the boom box tuned to the "hip" radio station trying to record all our favorite songs to cassette as they played.

WIWAK that's exactly how I got my copy of Thriller during a 24-hour marathon of the song that still didn't make me anywhere near sick of the song...

When I was a Kid there were two stations that the kids listened to: the Top Forty station or the R&B station.

WIWAK, I played in the dirt with sticks and logs. Now there's a cartoon series that have a commercial for my toys!

When I was a kid you couldn't wait to get home to trick or treat cause all the neighbors got home early

We also would use pillow cases for trick or treat bags cause we made bank on candy

We also didn't have to worry about the people in our neighborhood cause everyone knew everyone else and would keep an eye out for you

WIWAK we had one television station which signed off with a kiwi switching off the light to the studio, taking the lift to the top of the tower and tucking himself under a blanket to fall asleep in the satelite dish.

WIWAK I was required to go Sunday school and church

Yes, so was I. And WIWAK, I got in trouble one Sunday because I didn't put my nickel in the Sunday School collection plate. I wanted to save it to buy some penny candy.

WIWAK, my dad kept us quiet at church with Jolly Ranchers and Werthers originals
