When RP takes control IC thread

Kryss ~

Well that took care of the second task as he jumped right into the subject. Still not looking up, I gave a little curtsy in return of his bow.

" It is my pleasure to dance for you m'lord. I only hope that it will please you."

"Aye, m'lord I have heard rumors, but nothing more. Something about a monk and a sage..... But that's a funny rumor for monks are nothing but good.... I do not know much about oracles, so can not say if they are good or not."

Pretending to be oblivious to any knowledge of the monk or sage. Stayed right by his side and followed him to the room he wished for me to dance in.

Avrice nodded. "I agree. I've always known monks to be peace-loving, but I saw this with my own eyes. Seth was as dying and he told me that those two were responsible for stabbing him. I didn't like Sir Falcon much myself, but I can't allow those two to hurt any more people."

He shook his head. "But enough of depressing talk." He led her into his area of the knight's quarters and he sat on the bed. "It has been a long day. I want to see something uplifting." He smiled and motioned to a part of the floor that was large enough for her to dance.

Thalryn

The elf visited Seth's old living quarters at the barracks. Someone had already been here looking for things.

Probably the servants as soon as they realized the bastard knight was dead.

Jasleth

As the day wore on, Jasleth prepared. He and Dom had stayed awake long into the night, discussing what they could do in the trial. There seemed to be little they could talk about really, they knew nothing of the evidence that would be presented against them. Hell...being on trial was never part of the Game, there was no precedent or backstory about the legal system. They were going to have to wing it, completely. Dom had slept after a time...but the tormented monk hadn't been able to. Again he was powerless in the face of events. Just like when Dominic was petrified...when they had depended on Seth to get the Supersoft...so far he really hadn't been too useful. To distract his darkly circling thoughts, he had begant o perform katas, the limited space of the cell forcing him to use those of the Green Principle and Blue Principle rather than his preferred Red.

The trial would be where he could change that, prove himself. The Principles would serve him there. Green was the Principle of resistence, of staying strong in the face of force and not yielding. There would be times at the trial when he would need to be so. Unflinchingly face questions, accusations, and speak the truth. Anything less wold hinder thier case even further, there were sure to be Mages on hand who could detect lies. Blue, the Principle of Redirection. He would have to use what he knew of Seth, and what was brought against them to support them. If only he knew what evidence they had! But he would have to block and redirest the attacks as they came in. Really, it wouldn't be any different than a fight, except that he would battle with wits and mouth instead of his body and skill.

After a time, Jas stopped after finishing The Blue Kata Laughter of the Fox. He sat down, back on the bars of the door, looking out at the window to the cloudy sky. Kryss...God he wanted her here...but she was out there, no doubt trying to help him. His last thought before he became drowsy was that he hoped he would get to tell her he loved her before the end.

Kryss ~

Letting my cloak fall to the floor, makeing a few moves around him slightly seductive.

"You saw the attack? Or were they just his last words? I seriously can't imagine a monk killing for no reason like that."

Lightly caressing his neck as I started circling around him. Only to go off in spinning steps towards the middle where he indicated. Skirt lifting high enough to give that taunting wonder. I wasn't wearing anything underneath on purpose, I had to get what I could, no matter what it took. I had no plans on sleeping with him.

I wanted to keep asking questions, but I had to keep them some what spreaded to make it look like I was not pushing the issue, making it look like I was just curious.

"What do you plan on doing with them? Or are they still loose and I need to watch out for them?"

Smiling at him as I slowed down the spinning, dancing an uplifting, festival type dance. As it was what he wished for. Movements were as fluid and smooth as silk, steps graceful of a cat. The most innocent look in my eyes.

Sir Avrice smiled as she danced. She was very seductive, but he couldn't let his urges get the best of him. He was a royal knight, anyway.

"I did not see the actual attack, but Sir Falcon said those two stabbed him, and his word as a knight stands for a lot." He watched her hips move swayingly. "We have captured them, thankfully, and the trial will be later today. From there, the court will decide what to do with them, but for murdering a high knight, it won't be an easy punishment."

He watched her dnace some more before putting his hand up. "Thank you, m'lady. I enjoyed your dance, but I must prepare for the trial. How much money do you think is appropriate for your services?"

Thalryn

Thalryn opened a drawer in the knight’s desk. Inside he found a sheet of parchment listing bid prices for the supersoft. The elf gingerly removed the paper, folded it and tucked it into his pack.

Best to keep this from being used to show motive.

He closed the drawer and picked up a tome from the desk. He opened it to find maps of various temples. Another tome yielded information on pricing potions. At least Seth had done his homework, but there didn’t seem to be a thing here to point out why Seth had indicated Dom and Jas as his murderers.

Suddenly the door to Seth’s quarters swung open and a guard stepped into the room, looking around outside to make sure no one saw him enter. Thal took a seat silently as the man backed into the room.

He then turned around, saw the elf casually sitting there, and hastily grabbed for the door. In the blink of an eye Thalryn had Firefly, his throwing axe, clear of his belt and airborn. The weapon struck the door just in front of the man’s hand, causing him to jerk back not to lose fingers.

The guard smirked as he looked to Thalryn, his hand moving to pull the axe from the door. He extended his hand and his fingers closed on….nothing!?

Doing a double take the guard realizes the weapon has returned to the elf, who is casually tossing it up and catching it.

Snarling, the guard draws steel and charges the elf, blade held high. Thal flipped backwards over the chair and came up with both swords drawn. The guard chopped down, only to be met by the elf’s crossed blades. Thal kicked up, catching the man in the stomach, then punched him in the face.

The guard then decided that a nap seemed apropriate.

Thalryn opened Seth’s window and hurled himself out. Time slowed as the bladesinger fell. He reached out to Elistraee, who opened herself as a channel. His awareness collided with hers, and suddenly he hit the floor of his hotel room. Hard.

Awful nice of you to drop in, master.

The elf struggled to regain his breath. Now is….not…..the time, Straee

Kryss ~

Dancing in circles around him now as he spoke. Lightly carressing him with my nails when I had the chance.

"No money is needed for a royal knight. It is an honour to dance for you."

Pausing my words for a moment, thinking of something to say that may strike his interest.

"You are more pleasant to dance for than Seth was... He wasn't as nice."

Used Sir Falcons' first name, making it seem like I knew him on a very personal level.... Well I did.. in a way.. Enough to put a few thoughts into Sir Avrice.

Quickly spun out onto the floor again, slithering my way to the floor to do a few floor moves. Slowly becoming a bit more seductive in my movements. Pretending I didn't say anything. Waiting for his reaction.

Avrice coughed lightly. He struggled to maintain his calm exterior.

"M'lady...I...I..." He struggled for words. "You are a very seductive lady. Your dancing..." His throat seemed to dry as he watched her writhe on the floor.

"You used to dance for Lord Falcon? Wh-what kind of dance?" He asked, changing his train of thought. It was becoming harder and harder to maintain his civil manner.

Kryss ~

It was always a pleasure to make a man stutter in such a fashon. Down sitting on my knees, legs slightly spread. Thighs were showing scarves fell between my legs covering what was needed.

"What kind of dance I did for him? hmmm, I believe it was dance of 7 veils. Or something along those lines. He wasn't at all nice about it though. It was supose to be a simple dance such as I'm doing now.... But he decided he wanted alittle more."

Making things up as I continued, laying completly on my back now. Letting my hands do the dancing, entracing him. Very, very slowly getting up again.

Thalryn

Thalryn pulled himself up off the wooden floor of his room. Elistraee danced around wildly, in what Thalryn had come to call “ferret laughter.”

“I’m going back out. Come with me this time.” He grabbed the dancing ferret.

Hey, wha!?

I may need your nose.

I knew you only wanted me for my body

He smirked at the squirming animal.

Damn straight

She glared at him.

“Seriously, though, I need you to go to the place where Seth was found and do some snooping. Don’t get into any trouble.”

Don’t be such a killjoy, elf. How am I supposed to have any fun?

Straee, how many times must I tell you. NOT the TIME!

Thalryn and Elistraee left the inn, heading back toward the knight’s lodgings.

Avrice looked to her lithe body, his eyes dancing with lust. "I cannot say that I blame him. The way you dance is...enticing." He licked his lips. He knelt by her on the floor.

"M'lady...is this a dance of seduction? Because I am quite capivated in your movements." He reached out to stroke her hair. "Even...Even a high knight as myself cannot resist the urges of the body..."

Kryss ~

At this point I didn't know what I was doing. I did have a plan, but now I was to lost into my dancing I hated it when that happen. Now, oh god, he was petting my hair. What was I doing here? I knew what I wanted to do when I started, just need to figure out how to put it into play. I hope.

Slight purr escaped deep from with in me at his touch.

"Even now you are much nicer than him. I doubt your the type that would hit me.... Least I hope your not."

Talking to almost a whisper now, moving my head to his touch. This was to unreal. Had to keep some kind of focus... JAS.. yes, that's why I'm here. For him.

"As for the dance, isn't that what dancers are supose to do? I am glad that you enjoy."

For the first time I looked into his eyes. Which I think was a mistake, because now I wanted to kiss him. Damn what was wrong with me.

"I am only..... only doing what dancers do best m'lord.... I...I should probably go.... go now.... for I have... a lord..."

His touch was making me so weak, hard to think straight all the sudden.

Avrice ran his fingers through her hair. "I would never dare to harm such a beauty as yourself." His hand moved down her face to her neck. "You deserve to be worshipped..."

"I am only..... only doing what dancers do best m'lord.... I...I should probably go.... go now.... for I have... a lord..."

His powerful arm rose and put a finger to her lips. "Please...I will tell no one...I just want to know...what kissing a goddess would be like." He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers softly, drawing her into a passionate kiss.

Kryss ~

Goddess? ME be worshipped?!?! Those were things Jas would say.... I'm in trouble...

"I... he... I can't...."

Words were cut off by his finger, then a kiss. Sadly I melted. Took a few moments to let the shock melt. Heart was pounding so hard now, more than it ever has. Still, I kissed him back with the same passion. Reaching up to embrace him as the tears forced their way out unwillingly. Suddenly, a thought came to me, I told him that Seth hit me, I could go on that and make it sound like I was at the attack.

Unfortunatly, I couldn't break the kiss to continue with the lie. It just felt to good to be kissed and held, this has been one hell of a night for me.

Avrice moved his mouth to her neck slowly, kissing her lightly and with subtle passion. Enough to banish thoughts from her mind and words from her throat.

His hands began to roam her body, caressing every curve, down to the scarf between her legs. His hand went under it began to slowly stroke her clit. "Please...m'lady." He said softly into her neck. "Do not deny me this...I could only hope to please you..."

Thalryn

Thalryn walked out in front of the Knight’s quarters, where he’d overheard talk of Avrice finding Seth. Avrice had a much better reputation amongst the people than Seth had, but Thalryn had a hunch.

A black ferret crawled down the inside of his cloak, hanging low to the ground as the elf walked over the spot where the knight had supposedly met Avrice and told of his killers.

Got his scent. Turn left and go into that back alleyway.

The elf followed the familiar’s instructions, and wound up directly behind the barracks at what appeared to be a stone wall. Elistraee ran down his sleeve and poked her head out, finding the scent on the wall.

A picture of where to place his hand flashed into his mind from the ferret. He again followed her instructions, and the stone wall clicked, then slid aside.

This was where it could get dangerous.

Stepping back out into the alley, Thalryn began a soft chant. His breathing slowed and he became aware of the runes to the invisibility spell he had studied. The runes flared into golden light, then disappeared, leaving him translucent.

He stalked down the corridor, seeing light up ahead. There was a small room with a wash basin and long dagger, still crusted over from dried blood.

The blood is Seth’s, Thal. The ferret jumped from his cloak and sniffed the blade.

Definitely?

Yes, I’m sure of it.

The elf gingerly picked up the blade and stowed it in his pack. There was another door with a latch similar to the one outside. He popped the latch and slid the door open ever so slowly, to reveal the back of a tapestry.

Thalryn pulled back the cloth to see Kryss with an unknown male in quite the interesting position.

Well, if that’s your style of interrogation, why not?

Thalryn stepped out from behind the curtain, still invisible. If he was correct, then Kryss was probably about to have quite the time with Seth’s killer.

Maybe this was her way of saying thanks.

Thalryn scanned the room, trying to ignore the couple.

Kryss ~

Small whipsers kept repeating;
"I can't... I can't.....I cann..'t .. "

Did nothing to stop it though, his hands, kisses. Oh god his kisses tormented my weakest spot. Couldn't think anymore, legs spreading to the instant touch. Writhing with great desire for him now. There was a sudden feeling of being watched, it left as quickly as it came.

"I.... I think it's to late to .... deny you now..... "

Still sitting on my knees, laying back down, guiding him with me.

Avrice's breathing quickened as he dropped his pants and guided himself into Kryss's wanting body. He pressed his lips to her neck and nibbled gently. His hands moved to undo her tight vest and began to freely play with her exposed breasts.

"Thank you for allowing me this, my goddess." He said softly as his large hands kneaded the mounds on her chest. He thrusted his manhood in and out of her, slowly at first, then getting faster. "I will not disappoint you."

Kryss ~

I couldn't believe this was happening, I was with Jas, I was HIS goddess, no-one elses. Cussing at myself for putting myself into this..... Oh goddess... he's huge.... his hands... his lips.... mmmmm

Wrapping my legs around him when he pushes into me. My heart still pounded hard, but it was different now. It was from need, lust. I wanted to cry out Jass' name, it was so hard not to. Since it didn't feel like him, it made it some what easier. Panting hard from the stretch;

"I ... shall not .. disappoint you... m'lord..... Oh goddess yessss..."

As long as I can hopefully focus enough to not cry out my Jass' name I'll be fine............ till I see Jas again that is........ my poor sweet Jas, what have I done....

"ahhhh that feelss wonderful .. m'lord.."

Gripped harder onto him, slightly digging my nails into him.

Skyler

She slept fitfully, the sun wasn’t close enough to rising, but she felt it drawing near, and knew she had a few hours. She hated the fact that her friends were out trying to find info to help Dominic and Jasleth and here she was trying to sleep.

She sat up, kicking her feet over the edge of the bed. Slip stirred from where he had settled along the wall on the bed. She looked to him. “I just can’t sit here. I’m going to be with him.” She expected a comment, but it didn’t come.

She stood, walked to the small table in the room, reached into her pack and pulled out her writing instruments and paper.

Kryss, Thalryn~
I have gone to be with Dominic, I may be of no use during the day for anything other than company to him and Jasleth. So I have gone to be with them. Please make sure Slip is ok.
~Skyler

She set the note in the middle of the table where it would be found easily. Then turned to Slip, “Be careful this day. I don’t know what is going to happen, but I pray for the best. I just want us out of this mess and to be able to go home. Slip, I really like Dominic a lot and I would hate to think of anything happening to him. I know you really don’t like me all that much, but I really think I am falling for him.”

She didn’t give the lizard time to respond before she swept from the room and headed downstairs. She stopped and spoke to the poor guy at the counter as she was headed out, and made arrangements for some fresh smoked roast beef to be sent to her room as soon as possible and just to leave it on the bed.

She paid the boy a gold piece and headed out, she found a darker alley close to the castle and shifted to her ferret form to make her way inside. As it was late in the night, well early for those just starting their day, she was able to slip inside without anyone noticing the small black ferret.

She made her way to the cells below. She had almost been stepped on once as it seemed the guards were changing shifts but was able to slip by again unnoticed. Getting into the cell was easy enough as she fit through the bars with no difficulty.

“Dominic…Dominic. Wake up.” She hated to wake him, but it would be the only way to get up on the cot there. "I may not be able to help much today, but I wanted to be with you as much as I could.” He could hear the worry in her voice because it carried over through the mental link, there was also fear there underlying the worry.

Thalryn

Beautiful tapestries covered the walls, depicting everything from Epic battles to beautiful maidens.

Elistraee dropped to the floor. The ebon ferret easily blended with the shadows as she skirted along the wall.

Thal, this man definitely killed Seth. I can't tell you why he did it, but I can tell you for certain it was him. Seth's smell is all over the place, and there was blood on the floor here. From both men.

Who is he? Can you find that out for me?

I'll try, but it's hard to read from down here.

Do your best. I can't see anything relevant in his room.

The elf then noticed a small hole in the wall which seemed to lead into the next room.

Straee, over to your left is a hole. Figure out where it leads, please.

The ferret turned her head, looking past the man and elf entwined on the floor to the hole Thalryn had mentioned.

Consider it done.

The elf felt a small pull on his energy as the ferret faded to invisibility.

She never could take the long way around, he thought to himself and smirked.

It appears that I'm in Seth's room. Reeks of the bastard in here.

Wait, your in Seth's room now?

Why don't you ever listen when I path you. Yes, I am in Seth's room.

If your in Seth's room, that means....

Yes, smart one. Avrice's room is next to Seth's. Kryss is fucking Avrice. Do I need to spell it out?

So Avrice is the killer. But why? What did Seth do to piss him off?

Dunno Thal, but I say we get out of here and get back to Skyler.

And leave Kryss here with the killer? Don't think so. If Avrice knew enough to incriminate Dom and Jas, he knows damn well who Kryss is, and I get the distinct impression she doesn't really want to be in here with him.

Why did he care all of a sudden? She really hadn't done anything wrong. Well, except maybe screwing Avrice, but she should be able to handle herself.

Here's the deal, Straee. You stay here until she leaves or you blast the hell out of my head if he tries anything. Don't go wanderin away either.

Fine, fine. I’ll stay.

Thalryn glanced again at the couple, then stalked silently out the way he had come. He got to the streets and headed back toward the inn.

Kryss ~

I was thinking of Jas more and more. Seriously wishing I was in his arms and not this guys. Sadly enough this felt to good to stop. That feeling of someone else had arose again. Tried to shrug it off, but it stuck this time. Closed my eyes, only to see Jass' face.

It took every ounce to not cry out for my Jas. Suddenly I caved, specially when I saw him in my head. It felt like he was watching me. Jas, with a sad look of betrayal of what I have done.

Began to whisper things;

"I... I love you..."

Was the first thing to come out.. Really moving my hips, thursting back up into Avrice, relishing the feel. Everything seemed to crash in my head. Emotions were shot, it didn't help when I imagined Jas walking away from me.

"Jas... Jasleth.. please ... I love you.."

I was crying out to him, at the same time my body was moving hard and fast. Holding tightly onto Avrice.

Jasleth

Jas sat against the cold stone wall in a corner of the cell he shared with Dominic, slumbering fitfully. Sleep had not come easily, and it was troubled.

*******
He moved through a thick fog, hearing voices call his name...both of his names...some he knew and others he didn't.

"Kyle!" His mother's voice rang out from the left, "Get your head together or it'll be trouble for you!"

"Kyle...that's me, I'm Kyle, but I'm also Jasleth." His own thoughts seemed to be spoken aloud in two voices, Kyle's soft tenor and Jasleth's strong baritone. "I'm trying, Mom, but it's so hard to tell which of me I am since this started..."

"You know Jas," Dominic said from right behind him, "as enthusiastic as you are to fight, you sure seem to do a lot of running."

"I've had to!" "Do you think I like it?" "I always fight if I can, but I know when runing is better...even if I hate it."

The cultured voice of his mentor, Professor Barnes drifted from the fog ahead of him. "That's good to know...but running isn't always the best option, even though it's prudent from a strategic point of view." "You may escape the prison, but if you run, you will be a wanted man."

"I know, sir." "But there's no victory to be had!" "The outcome has already been decided!" "Whether we fight, Jasleth or Kyle, neither of us can win!"

"Ha!" THe strong voice of the Archer Soliel mocked him, as he wheeled trying to tell from where in the billowing mists it came. "Just like I thought, a liar and a coward." "Where's that honor and courage you talked so mcuh about?"

"Damn you!" "I never said I, we, wouldn't try!" "Even in it can't be won, we won't give up on ourselves, on Dom, on any of it." "What good are Kyle's ideals and Jasleth's honor, if we don't hold to them?"

"But what if you can run?" Kyrss's soft tones floated to his ears, making his heart ache with want for her presence, longing to be with her away from all this. "If you can leave and be with me, wouldn't that be best?" "We can leave this all behind, who cares what anyone else says as long as we're together?"

"Kyrss...we love you so much, but we can't leave." "We wouldn't be oursleves if we did..." "We want to be with you more than anything, but we wouldn't be worthy of you if we ran from this fight."

"Are you sure?" Thalryn's words were concerned, and measured. The elf's serious tone seeming to darken the mists further. "There will be only one chance to escape, if you don't take it, you will have to fight." "The odds...don't look good."

"We know." "But We have faith in our friends, they'll help us, and in ourselves to make our case." "We believe in justice." "It will come out in the end."

"It's decided then," said Skyler. "Which of you will it be?" "Will Kyle or Jasleth fight this battle?"

The mists cleared and he saw both of his selves suddenly staring at one another. The lithe and muscular frame of Jasleth, wine red eye widening at the sight of the black garbed thinness of Kyle, whose pale green orbe met the monk's startled gaze. The two looked long at each other, until identical thin smiles slowly crossed their faces.

"I know what to do," Kyle said. "I just don't know that I'm brave enough to do it."

"I have the courage to act," Jas replied. "But I'm not sure what I need to say or do."

Kyle nodded. "Good thing you're me, and-"

"that I'm you," Jas finished. "It's not a perfect mesh, you know, I still can't belive that I couold be like you."

Kyle snorted. "No kidding." "I feel the same way...it seems that the personality I adopted for the Game has become real with it, and I'm not sure which of us is better to have in charge."

Jas shrugged. "You're the original, you know." "Everything I am comes from you, even if you don't know it."

Kyle looked away. "....I'm not ready for that yet." "I'm not brave or strong, or anything as good as you are."

Jas shook his head. "Whatever you say, man." "You'll come around." He stuck his hand out. "For now though...we work together." "For you."

Kyle took the monk's hand in a firm grip. "For you." "For Dominic."

Both men spoke at once, "For Kryss." As one they turned, a sense of purpose in both of them. "Let's go."
*******

Jas started awake, the last remnants fo the dream fading from him. He looked about the cell, blinking in the sunlight that streamed in through the barred window. After a moment of tense alertness, he slumped back againt the wall. "What a dream...." "Hope that making peace with myself is a good omen."

He stood quickly and quietly, waking neither Dom nor the snoozing guard, and padded over to the window. The execution grounds below were busy...a machine that he remembered very well from History class being set-up in view of the curious passing citizens. "huh...Dr. Guillotine's humane execution machine...lovely." "Well....they'll have to get used to disappointment." "It won't be used on my neck, or Dom's." He knew that in the town below Kryss and Thalryn would be doing all they could to find out what had happened. He trusted Thalryn...or at least the elf's sense of honor. He sighed as he thoguht of Kryss...he missed her already...damn, it was so bittersweet and more than a little sad, really.

He had to win what was coming, for her if not for him. And she's be one of the ones that would give the way to do it, he was sure. "Soon Kryss, we'll be together again." He wished she were there now, that he could put his arms around her, feel her body againt his, kiss her beckoning lips. "It looks bad...but I have faith in you." "As long as I have that, I can't lose."

He sighed, then went back to his corner and fell into the Lotus position. Meditate, clear the mind, we'll need it for what's ahead. Eye closed, he did not notice the entrance of the black furred ferret, merely breathing deeply, singing in a barely audible voice to clear his mind for the trial.

Dominic

"Skyler..." I mumbled softly in my sleep, moving my head around. "Mmm Skyler....that tickles..."

“Dominic…Dominic. Wake up.” The voice in my head echoed in my mind and woke me up. "Huh? Skyler?" I asked, looking around frantically. My eyes settled on the ferret on my chest.

"Oh...there you are." I lowered my voice to a whisper. "What are you doing here?"

"I may not be able to help much today, but I wanted to be with you as much as I could.” I could hear the wory in her voice. I reached my hand down and stroked her fur.

"It's alright, Skyler. Just having you near me will help me more than anything." I continued to pet her. "I think Jas needs Kryss here soon." I motioned to the monk who was in the corner of the room, meditating. "He's been acting out of it lately...I'm worried about him."

There was silence for a few moments. "Hey Skyler...Since we've gotten to know each other so well...and this is a life and death situation...I wanted to know your real name. We've come so far and I don't even know who you are, really. I want to know what your real life name is."
