When RP takes control IC thread

Thalryn

The elf was surrounded by guards before he could get clear of Kryss and her outburst.

Damn that woman. Elistraee, be ready.

Actually, I think I found Skyler. There's another ferret within ten feet of me, but its not a real ferret.

Elistraee formed a mental picture of the ferret in question, almost exactly like herself, but for the eyes, and sent a mental probe.

Skyler? This is Elistraee, Thalryn's ferret. If anything happens, he'll be here to help.

Skyler

She heard the mental message from the other ferret, and tried to send back her own message, she was unsure if that would work, but right now it was worth a try.

"I hear you Elistraee, and I am really close to Dominic, real close. Just let Thalryn know to be ready." She didn't know if the other ferret would hear her and she was sure Dominic would with her link to him open.

Thalryn

The elf "heard" Skyler through Elistraee. He steadied his resolve as he moved as far away from the blazing dark elf as he could.

Worried about other things, the guards dismissed him as he slipped under their weapons and out into the crowd.

Elistraee, merge me and Skyler.

No problem

The elf seemed to get dizzy as his power flowed through such a small conduit, but it worked.

Skyler? This is Thalryn speaking through Straee. I'm ready, but Kryss is totally out of control. I don't have any control of her anymore.

Jasleth

The knight's admission had stunned him. Kryss and him? It couldn't be....no. He would not believe it. It was all an attempt to shake him up, break his focus. Though he smiled politely at the arrogant knight, the smile did not reach his eyes.

Jas stepped forward. "I have something to say." "Quite a bit actually, assuming that the accused are allowed to speak on their own behalf." He looked around at the group assembled on the platform. "Seeing that you haven't had the courtesy to provide counsel, I will have to speak for both of us."

"First of all...your most solid evidence is..unconvincing." Kyle looked out over the crowd, and pointed at a burly man. "Yesterday I went to that man's weapon shop and saw a dozen knives like that one." "The fact that my comrade uses such weapons is circumstantial at best." He shot the knight a scathing look, "however I am shocked at your assuming the does not know how to use his weapon." Before the knight could react, Jas's lightning fast hands reached out and snatche dup the knife. He held it up in his palms in clear view of the crowd. A few brave souls laughed and applauded at the look on Avrice's face. "The hilt is very small, less than a hand long, same with the blade." "Any fool who has used one of these knows that stabbing with one is stupidity." "It's impossible to get enough force behind the blow...in addition, the tines here," Jas pointed to the two small flared points at the base of the blade, "are quite clean." "If this knife was used as you suggest, there should be a few bits of flesh on them." He smirked. "I know that Seth wasn't one to stick to his promises, but I doubt his flesh could do the same with a blade." There was a laugh from the crowd at that, the peasents having experienced plenty of the knight's capriciousness. "I think it would be fair to say that this calls the "murder weapon" into question."

Jas turned a charming smile in the direction of the squires. "Now...about your witnesses." He looked them over, choosing one who seemed to have a bit of regret and fire in his eyes. "Excuse me, Squire, what's your name if you please?"

The boy's eyes widened. "Squire Delita Hyral." His eyes flickered over to Avrice's stormy face, fear obvious in them.

Jas beamed, "Thank you, Squire Hyral." "How's your training going?"

The boy blinked. "Umm, okay, I suppose." "I'm new and I haven't gotten much chance until recently." "It's hard without...." The boy's eyes flickered over to the boy.

"Ohhh." Jas smiled knowingly, looking at the crowd. "Without a patron in the knights, it must be hard to get ahead, huh?" The boy nodded wordlessly. "Sir Seth...or Sir Avrice would be great patrons wouldn't they?" "Powerful, Skilled, Respected..."

"Y-Yes, I'd do anything to become one of their squires." The youth seemed to realize he may have said too much but stopped.

"Anything." Jas's smile was a bit predatory now. "Would that anything explain just why 12 squires were outside the castle ground at the time this incident occured?" "You kids have to follow some pretty strict rules...and being on hand if needed is one of them." "So...what were you all doing out there?"

The boy paled. "Well..not much...we'd just...snuck out..."

Jas's face was incredulous, "You mean to say, that after telling me how much you wanted to be squire to a royal knight that you would jeopardize that by sneaking out?" "It must have been something remarkable to make you risk so much." "What were you doing outside?"

"I...one of the others...said that there was something we had to see...," the squire was squirming in place. A stir of excitement was going through the crowd...and the court memebers. This was better show then they had had in a long time.

"Something." Jas quirked an eyebrow. "You can't remember what it was?" "You risked your one chance at knighthood for a "thing" you can't even remember?"

"I-I don't know...."

Jas pressed on, relentlessly. "If you can't remember that, how can you expect anyone to believe what you saw when you left the grounds for a reason you can't recall?"

The boy's face flushed, "I know what I saw!" "You, you attacked Sir-"

"I attacked him?" Jas cut the boy off. "You said that Dominic attacked him first before, didn't you?" The boy had not, but Jas had to get him to crack.

"No, I said it was y...I mean, yes it was him." Sweat now stood out on the boy's face. "But you were there too..."

"That's not what you just said." Jas smirked down at the boy. "You sure don't seem like you have much knight potential." "Don't know why you were outside, don't know what you saw, don't know much of anything, do you?"

The bouy's face went bright red. "I KNOW WHAT I WAS TOLD!" The square seemed to freeze as the words bounced off the stone walls. The blood drained from Delita's face, his eyes going wide.

"Told?" The crack of Jas's voice called the squire to start. "By who?" "By someone with authority over you, someone with a stake in this!" The boy only barely nodded, staring at Avrice with horror in his eyes. Jas smiled then looked out over the crowd, spreading his arms as wide as the chains would allow. "I don't know about you...but that sounds like a knight to me." Murmurs sounded from the assembled throng again, this time on both sides of things.

"That's enough!" Avrice's face was red, his voice furious. "You dare to insinuate I made these squires tell this story?" "That I, a Royak Knight, gave false evidence?"

Jas shook his head. "No, no, no." "I would never do that..." He let his voice trail off, then he brought a manacledhand up to scratch at his chin. "However, since you brought it up..."

Kryss ~

Everyone was listening to Jas as he spoke, the only ones that noticed me were the knights at my throat.

I no longer cared what happened to me. I wanted Avrice dead, Seth dead, Jas and Dom free. Angerier I got more I was losing control, the wind started to pick up around me, trying to cool my body as a light fire sheild started to form. It was not like me to lose such control, nothing anyone as ever seen before. Tears were burning deeply and hard when I looked to Jas, my eyes told him more than enough. My gaze was lost in its own world of confusion, anger, love, hatered;

Shaking my head no, but whispering

"I'm sorry"

over and over again, the fear of losing Jas and the words the Knight was speaking was only feeding the flame.

"I didn't meaan to, I have failed... but if I die here today trying to save you... Know this.. I do love you no matter what has happened."

The tears and my eyes were saying far more than I could in words. Broke my gaze I had on Jas.. feeling he wouldn't forgive me. Looked down at one of the knights that were hold a spear to my throat. The ones that had swords dropped them from the heat it yeilded. The knight I looked at;

"I'm sorry.. but I can't hold it in any longer"

Smiled evil grin at him, soon he was off screaming as his clothes lit on fire. . Shortly after the other knights around me were the same...

"I love you Jasleth"

My gaze went to the platform straight at Arvice, then to Dom, and Jas, indicating that the platform was next to go and they better jump or something.

Jasleth

The smug look faded as Kryss's eyes caught his. The feeling in them almost physically shocked him. Such fury, such love, and hate. She looked away, and he shook himself, striving to refocus on the thunderous nice Arvice was making. Then the first knight burst into flames. Screams of alarm and horror went up all around the square, as one by one in rapid succession the knight around Kryss and Thalryn became horribly screaming human torches.

"My God..." Jas stared at the carnage fro a moment. He hadn't realized that she was so close...what had happened to shake her control this badly? Was she that worried about him? Then her fiery gaze caught his, telling him to move or burn. "Shit!" "Jasleth!" Kyle screamed to his other self, "You have to take over!" "It's time for action!"

Jas shook himself, as though clearing his mind. Better move before Kryss crisps us all. "Looks like court's adjorned!" He brought the chains binding him taunt, then almost negligently flexed. The iron shackled burst with a loud ping that sounded even over the cries of alarm. "Case called on account of firebombing!" Grabbing one of Dom's arms, he channeled his ki into his Abundant Leap Technique. He sprung clear of the platform, clearing the stabbing spears of the soldiers and the desperate swipe Avrice took at him.

The leap carried him far further than should have been possible. The duo sailed across the courtyard to land as close to Kryss and Thalryn as they could. As he landed, Jas spun and lashed out. His hands blurred as he focused on deflecting the crossbow bolts that were raining down toward him and the Oracle. "Damn!" "You know, I love you Kryss, and I appreciate the rescue, but I was almost to my case-cracking question!" The joke was desperate, trying in some way to bring her down from the berzerk state she had entered.

Kryss ~

Watched as Jas and Dom got out of the way, gaze went right back, cold hard stare at Advrice. All my focus was on him now, he played for a fool.. No-one plays me like that.. NO-ONE! and lives to tell about. Well he told about it. Now he has to pay, wishing Seth was standing right next to him, sadly enough he wasn't. He shall pay someday as well.

Jass' voice was so distant, clear as water, but distant. I answered him in the same distant feel, talking to him as if he was in my mind and not next to me;

"I failed you m'love... I failed us... I'll be damned if I leave here with that person still alive and you dead...."

Tears came pouring hard again. Never leaving my sight from Arvice, he was so oblivous to what was really happening. I wanted him to suffer.

"I love you as well m'love..... I have done wrong... I failed... me an you.. "

Avrices shoes were the first thing to light up. Watching the flame catch his pants slowly. Controling the flame that was focused on him.

"I was only trying to find somethiing.... anything to use... to help you... instead...."

The flame held steady at his waist, mostly near his pelvis. Emotionless as I watched, keeping the flame under full control. Sadly I was wearing out, the heat was over coming my body, to intense for me.

"Instead ... he tried to use me.... I didn't mean to.... not even sure exactly what happened..... I knew what I wanted to do... but when it got to a point.... I failed... "

Still watching the man burn and scream, catching the platform on fire as he rolled to get it out. I fell to my knees slowly coming back or on the verge of passing out.

"I'm so sorry m'love.... I don't expect you to forgive me... please go.. save your selves before they catch you again."

My eyes were glazed over from heat and exhaustion as I slowly fell the rest of the way to the ground, passing out.

Skyler

She had no clue exactly what was happening outside of Dominic’s pants. She could tell by the conversation between Jas and the squire, and the murmurs from the crowd, followed by Avrice’s outburst that things were swinging in their favor.

Then she could hear the panicked screams and smell the burning cloth and flesh. She couldn’t tell what was going on, but suddenly was jostled about as she felt Dominic moving. She felt them land kind of hard, and felt herself slipping from her precarious perch.

She didn’t want to accidentally hurt Dominic, so she half slid, half scurried down his pant leg and out onto the ground and found herself in a mess of running feet. “Dominic, don't leave me here.” She tried to move back towards his leg, only to be kicked away.

The kick sent her tumbling a few feet away from where Dominic was. She shook off as she came to a stop and looked to find him. In the confusion she had lost sight of his legs, she moved continuing to look for him, trying to stay in the same area, knowing he couldn’t have went far.

No one noticed her there on the ground, as she scampered this way and that to avoid being kicked. She had been successful in avoiding the rushing feet so far, but unable to locate Dominic, Jasleth, Kryss or Thalryn. She bounded a few feet forward and looked about, beginning to panic; she couldn’t change to be able to locate them easier, she had to rely on finding them this way.

She felt herself kicked and thrown some distance, “Dominic………..help…” She hit the ground hard tumbling nose over tail. She came to a stop and lay there unmoving, she didn’t know it but she had been kicked out of the path of the rushing feet.

Thalryn

Blades flashed, deflecting bolt after bolt, trying desperately to keep up with the speed of the monk.

Thalryn gritted his teeth, unable to focus on anything but the swords. Blades danced high, weaving back and forth, slapping countless crossbow bolts to the ground.

In the back of his mind, Thalryn felt both Elistraee, and then Skyler through Elistraee, as the two ferrets struggled to get away from the hordes.

Elistraee felt her connection with her master strengthen as the crossbowmen readied the next volley, then it was lost again as more bolts sailed in.

The ferret sensed Skyler moving towards Thalryn, then she was just gone.

Skyler? the ferret prodded mentally for the vampire. Can you sense me Skyler? I lost you.

Then she turned her attention back to Thalryn, but he was still lost in battle, and she wasn't strong enough to make the jump without him guiding her.

Elistraee found a random leg and hung on, and miraculously the owner didn't notice in all the confusion.

Kryss ~

After a few moments of cooling off, the noise and screams woke me. At first not realizing what I had done, till I saw both ferretts at ground level, couldn't which one was what. One was a few feet away laying still, the other clamped onto someones legs.

Jas, Thal, and Dom were all around me fighting. Shaking my head, trying to snap out of it. The plat form was half way burned, Advrice was no where in sight, probably got the flame out or ran off screaming to his death somwhere.

"Straee if you can hear me come here, your not far.... "

Looked at the other ferret assuming it was Skyler, She was a good couple feet away but out of harms way. Wasn't sure if I could levitate her from that distance, but I had to try.

Putting the little bit of strength I had left into the spell I used before, focusing it onto Skyler, raising her to at least eye level. Me and the others lifted some what off the ground as well. With miraculous speed and stamina.

"Guess its up to me to get you safely out of here... seeing how I'm the cause for all this......... Skyler is right there.. we need to grab her... Going to need one of you to lead...."

"I'm sorry.. I don't know what happened... but I'm sorry.."

Held my head and gaze down waiting for the others to start running.

Thalryn

Time seemed to slow as Thalryn was grazed by a bolt underneath his eye, drawing a line in blood to his neck.

Green eyes blazed as he poured forth all his energy into the fight. Blades danced independently of each other, Seldarine high, waving to and fro deflecting, while Entropy slapped across low, clearing the bolts that got through. His awareness was everywhere and nowhere, as if he were observing himself fighting. His higher conciousness reached out to Elistraee and Skyler as he cast a minor cantrip of telekenisis.

He locked onto the ferrets and pulled, sending them both sailing through the air towards him. It was then he noticed he was in the air. Frantically, his body moved to compensate, but the change slammed his mind back into place. He hesitated, slightly disoriented as a bolt imbedded into his thigh.

He growled off the pain, and the swords were on guard again, swatting away the next volley as he began to run.

Kryss ~

Saw Thal getting hurt pretty bad, altering my words some still keeping my head low and not looking up. The alteration of the words invised us, as we took off. The swords seemed to fly at nothing.

I wasn't going to be able to keep the spells going for long, but it would have to do for now. Desperate to get us out of here, was in no hurry to get yelled at by the group. Or worse, here Jas's words. Though I was in a hurry to get them to some safty regardless.

The ivis spell only camoflauged us into the background, only we were able to see eachother. Not even flintching at everything that was flying at us, in fact I was slightly hopeing one would hit me. Had to keep the strength, the strength I lost back there, but have now. Needing to hold onto what I could. For Jas, and the others.

Jasleth

The bolts stopped coming as the party blended into the stone. Jas froze, using the moment to catch his breath. Those archers were trouble. The square was still a riot of flame, some of the burning soldiers having stumbled in and caught the stables afire.

"Okay, listen up, folks." He kept his voice soft, moving as little as possible. "We're going to have to get out of the city...and Kryss's spell won't last long." "Here's the plan, we are going to make a break for the nearest sewar entrance, and use it to get out." "If we get seen onthe way there, I will go and draw attention away, since I have the best chance of getting away afterward." "Okay?" He saw nods around him, "Good, let's move."

As they begant o run through the carnage, edging around the stunned soldiers who were staring at the air where the party had been. AS they ran, Jas fell into step next to Kryss. "Kryss...I don't know what's happened, but we can talk about it later, okay?" His expression was concerned as he held her gaze for a brief moment, "Just stay with me, love." "No more talk about dying, huh?"

Thalryn

Thalryn pushed himself to his limits. He silently wished he’d become a ranger, and thus more capable of running for hours wounded, but the strain on his thigh was becoming unbearable, and the gash under his eye burned like wildfire from the sweat that poured into it.

The elf used the last of his strength heaving off the grate to the sewer. With that done, he passed out and plummeted headfirst into the darkness…

Jasleth

"Shit!" Several passrs-by leaped away from the sewer grate that had suddenly pulled free, and the swearing that seemed to coem from mid-air. Js dove forward as Thal fell, going underneath the fallinf elf and catching him before he hit bottom. "Shit," he said again. "Major blood loss...not good." Two ferrets emerged from the elf's clothes, one crying piteously. "...hey, Elistraee right?" "Don't worry, we'll get Thal up and running in no time."

Moments later, Dominic and Kryss splashed down into the muck, having taken the more sedate ladder route. Jas nodded to the two of them, "Good, you guys put the cover back." He took a deep breath, regretting it seconds later as the reek of the sewers filled his lungs. "Ack!" "Damn...wich we were strong enought o just fight our way out..." "This sucks."

He sighed, handing the elf in his arms to Dominic. "Sorry, Dom, but I need you to hold him for just a second while I use Chakra on him." Jas's hands flew as he made minute adjustments to the flow of mystical life force in Thalryn. Within moments, the bleeding of his wounds had stopped, and all had closed, though they were still unhealed. "O-kay...hand him back." Jas took the groggy elf from Dom, then looked down the tunnel they were in. He really wanted to talk to Kryss, to take five mintues to see what was happening, or to just have a little time to himself to freak out and get it over with. For now though, he had to hold it together.

"Okay people." "I know it's dark here, but no lights." "We could spark some of the gas and char ourelves real good." Jas turned to Kryss, "Meaning that with Thal out and Skyler a ferret, your eyes are the only ones we can use, love." "We need to find out where the sewers empty into the river...we can use that to get away from the castle, and improvise from there." He rolled his neck, a few vertabrae cracking. "Other than warmings, and what is necessary, keep it quiet." "We don't want to give ourselves away to whatever may be hunting us...above and anything that lives down here." He looked to Kryss in the dim light filtering in fromteh grate above, "Lead on, my lady fair."

Dominic

I kicked one of the guards in the stomach and pulled out his sword. Preety impressive for having a lack of movement in these chains.

I swung the sword, knocking back multiple people at once. I turned as I heard Skyler's mental yelp. I ran over to Thal and took Skyler back from him. "Thanks Thal. So much for civil trials." I placed Skyler on my shoulder moved to the sewer grate.

Unfortunatly, it was being blocked by multiple guards, including the menacing Avrice. He was badly burnt, but still alive. Archers were at the ready and aimed at us.

"Shoot them down!" Avrice screamed.

"Don't you dare!" I yelled back. "I am a great orcale and I have a prediction!" I closed my eyes. "If you don't back off and let us go in this sewer grate, death, doom, and destruction will come to this town."

There were slight murmurings until Avrice's royal oracle spoke up. "I'm picking up readings from him...and he isn't lying." The oracle said.

"...Dammit!" Avrice said and backed up slowly. The archers lowered their bows.

"Alright!" I said. "We're out of here!" Jas and Kryss jumoed down into the sewers and dragged Thal along too. I moved back to the hole, Skyler on my shoulder.

"Slip!" I yelled. A small green lizard crawled out of my backpack, grabbed the ends and pulled it with him towrd the sewer grate. He winked at me and jumped in the hole. I followed after him.

"Find where that sewer goes!" Avrice said. "Cut them off at the exit! I don't want them to escape!"

In the sewers, we all recovered and ran down one direction, Jas in the lead, carrying Thal. Slip climbed up on my other shoulder as I put my backpack on.

Hey, boss! Was death and doom really gonna rain down on the town?

Slip, I was talking to a lynch mob. I told him. That future wasn't their's...it was ours.

Jasleth

Jas ran along throughthe sewers, Kryss just behind him. The troubled dark-skinned beauty would rach out and touch his shoulders lightly whenever a turn came up, indicating the direction they needed to go. Despite the desperation of it all, Jas actually found himself feeling pleased. It looked like they might get out of this after all.

"Don't be so sure," Kyle said warningly in his head. "That Avrice isn't going to let up, we've hurt his pride and his person way too much for that." ""Odds are good we'll meet up with him and his soldiers the second we hit clean air."

Jas frowned. "Whatt do you mean?"

Kyle sighed. "Look, he can find someone who knows the sewer system." "Our only shot is that it takes him longer to do that than it does us to get out...unless we switch plans."

"Damn!" Jas spoke aloud, drawing looks from his companions. "You're right...they'll know where the sewer ends..all they have to do is go there and wait for us." "Unless we get there first, which is cutting it close..." He slowed the pace but kept moving. "Hmm...any of you have suggestions?" "I think the current plan needs changed."

Thalryn & Elistraee

The elf was stirred slightly back to conciousness by the influx of energy. Emerald eyes opened weakly, then shut.

“Potions….in my….pack…..Straee…” He whispered, unable to keep his voice from faltering. He was too fatigued to maintain the mental rapport he shared with the ferret, and he didn’t remember if he’d even gone back for his companion.

He tried to reach out with his mind for the ferret, but was thwarted by throbbing in his head.

“Jas…..El…Eli…Straee…get….” He groaned as they made their way through the sewers.

Jasleth The ferret’s voice entered the monk’s head. He can’t sense me like he usually can. He normally keeps Health potions in his pack, but he used up the last of them when we ran from the orcs.

The ferret emerged from Thalryn's pack to take a place on Jasleth's shoulder.

I'm not liking staying in the sewers too long. There's something in the water. Something....wrong. Elistraee, pathing to the whole group for the first time.

Kryss ~

Kept hard to not pass out, before we hit the sewers Jas caught a glimpse of my eyes, all he saw was hurt, fatigue. Each step was agonizing, couldn't even speak to Jas, couldn't look at him.

It did feel wonderful that he kept calling me *love* though right now it felt like knife. Followed behind, mostly feeling and smelling some fresh air indicating where the turns were. Suddenly he stopped, making me bump into him some without really watching where I was stepping, just following. Lowered my head as I stepped back from him as he spoke.

"There has to be another way out of here.... damn i'm so tired... This is a sewer there are always multiple ways out of here. has to be."

Without even realizing it I grabbed onto Jas, trying to steady myself, urging and forcing myself to go on.

Jasleth

The monk's wine colored eyes widened as Elistraee's voice sounded in his head, bringing him to a halt. Kryss bumped into him only a moment later. "Sorry Kryss...got a bit startled." Kyle and Jas conferred briefly, the monk's eyes going distant. "Yeah...that'll have to be it." "We're too tired for anything else." Jas set the fatigued elf down on the stone wall, and reached into the sash he wore aroudn his waist, pulling out a small vial. "I was saving this for a desperate moment...and this looks like it." "This is an Elixer...one of the only two magic items I have." "Before the Game changed, Elixer would heal the worst injuries and conditions, as well as recharging your mana." Jas looked over to Kryss, "I think that now it'll heal a person's body completely." "Mental injuries are something else...but we'll have to deal with those later."

He stepped away from Kryss and unstoppered the vial. He tilted Thalryn's head back, opening his mouth, and emptying about half of the precious liquid into the elf's open mouth. Handing the vial to Kryss, he firmly closed the elf's mouth, pinching his nose shut. Thalryn's reflexes kicked in, swallowing the Elixer. "There...that takes care of him." "It will take a few minutes to set in, but it should get him on his feet." "we could use a breather anyway...just a minute Elistraee, then we'll move." "I don;t like these sewers either."

Jas moved away from Thalryn to loop an arm around Kryss's waist. "The rest is for you, with you and Thal back on your feet, we'll have more options." He lowered his eyes, then leaned a bit closer, whispering. "I'm sorry we can't take the time to talk now, Kryss...I can feel the pain coming off of you." He sighed, "I-I haven't given it any thought...no time to, you know?" Now that he ahd mentioned it though, he could feel doubt and betrayel starting to gnaw at him. "But look...I'm not going to make any judgements until I hear about it from you." "The knight can sit on it, his words don't mean shit to me...just yours do." He fell silent, unsure of what more he could say. God, he wished he could do something to comfort her.

Jas looked down the corridor of the sewer, hoping the Elixer would give Thal back some of his powers as well as his health. If it did...he had a few ideas that might get them out. "Don't think it's all decided yet, Kryss." For a moment, Jasleth and Kyle spoke as one. "Any of it, our escape or...what we have to talk about."

Kryss ~

The stupid tears were wanting to let go, did all I could to keep them back. Feeling his arm around my waist just made it all the worse, wanting to embrace with everything I had, never wanting to let go. Instead, I held that back as well.

"I'll be fine.... Just need a moment to gain some control back.... I'm so sorry for losing it back there.... It's just been one hell of a night and everything just seemed to come crashing down.... I am sorry.."

Handed back the liquid he offered me, mostly wanted him to save it and not waste it on me. I didn't know what to say to his words, least he wanted to talk... It was tearing me up, I would have never done such a thing IRL, why the hell did I do it in game?

"Its ok, I understand."

Was all I could whisper back to him. All the sidden I couldn't hold back, tears started rolling unwillingly, with one movement wrapped my arms around his neck. Embracing him into a passionate hug. I wasn't expecting anything in return, just needed him, felt to good to finally embrace him, even after everything.

Dominic

I followed behind the group, trying to think of something else we could do. Then it hit me.

"Hey guys...I'll use my abilities to see what Avrice is up to." I closed my eyes and concentrated on a mental image of Avrice. Let's see what's going on with him.

It'a rainy night. There are dead trees all around a big field. And Avrice is standing there, dressed in a large black robe, with a look of glee on his face. There, by his side, was Soliel. Her eyes were a deep yellow.

I blinked a few times. That wasn't what I expected to see. The others were looking at me in expectation. "I didn't see what I thought I would. Avrice was out in a field and he..."

I stopped as my seer's sense kicked in. Something bad was about to happen.

I looked around. "Do you guys hear something?" I asked. Suddenly, I felt something brush up against my legs, which were submurged part of the way in the murky liquid. "What the?"

I felt something resembling a tenticle wrap around my leg. "Whoa!" I yelled as it pulled my legs out from under me. Slip and Skyler went flying from my shoulders into the muck. I fell down onto my back and the tentacle began to pull me down one of the passageways. "Hey! Let go!" I yelled. But I was being dragged along too quickly to do anythign about it.

Kryss ~

Having to let go of Jas, almost as quickly as I embraced. Saw the look in his eyes, it was of concern, also there was a hint of betrayal hidden in the depths. Almost sorry for giving him the hug, no words were spoken as I stepped back from him. Breaking my gaze to the sound of Dom being dragged.

"Geez, can't he stay out of trouble for just a few minutes, damn Skyler, I think you have your hands full with this one."

Was a dry joke, meaning well of course. I took off running after him. They were moving to fast for me to really work on a spell, even then I wasn't really outside to cast root or anything to stop them, least I could do is follow and hope I'll get a chance to do something.

Skyler

She was mostly unaware of her surroundings, that was until she felt the murky water close over her head. She brought herself to the surface just as she heard Dominic splashing as he was dragged along. Finding the ability to swim in this form not the easiest thing to do, she shifted, being in the darkness of the sewer a blessing right now.

She scooped Slip up out of the murky water. He was having less trouble swimming in it than she was as a ferret. “Come on let’s go after them.” She heard Kryss’ words as the others also went after Dominic and whatever had grabbed him.

“This time though Kryss it doesn’t seem to be his doing… come to think of it the last few times it wasn't either.” She continued to move through the water, her vision almost perfect in the ambient light of the sewers. She was able to keep her sight set on Dominic.

Dominic

"Arrgh!" I yelled as I hit my head on the uneven floor. The tentacles were fast moving and I couldn't take a break to try and free myself. I didn't even know what it was coming from.

Out of the darkness, I saw a small light in the area I was being dragged to. "What the...?" I squinted hoping to make some thing out. As I got closer, my eyes widened and I saw it belonged to a gigantic Angler fish. It was popping halfway out of the water, tentacles shooting from it's body in multiple directions; it's gaping, 10-foot tall mouth open and ready to swallow me wole.

"Oh shit!" I yelled. I tried to scramble away, but the fish's tentacles were two strong and the water made it hard to grab onto anything. "Uh, guys? A little help here?!" I yelled. With that, the fish tossed me into it's black hole of a mouth. I pulled out the sword I had stolen from the guard and stuck it out. The fish chomped down, but the sword got caught between it's tooth and it's gum, stopping the mouth from closing. I dove out of the way of it's thrashing tongue as it squealed from the pain of the blade.

"Any help would be appriciated!" I yelled out of the mouth, trying to keep away from the throat hole.
