Right wing New York Times editorialist Judith Miller and right wing conservative apologist Robert Novak each received classified information from the White House that compromised an ongoing CIA operation in Iraq but gave credence to lies that the Bush administration's claims that Iraq was actively manufacturing those "Weapons of Mass Destruction", which was all the rage at the time.
The intelligence community began investigating who the "mole" was who leaked details of the above-Top-Secret CIA operation.
Everyone assumed it was Bush's stooge, Karl Rove.
One man did not: RobDownSouth.
RobDownSouth went on record way back in June 2005 that it was his firm belief that the leak originated with Dick Cheney's oily chief of staff Scooter Libby.
History has shown that RobDownSouth was correct.
Feckless failed president Donald J. Trump, who enjoys weakening American security overseas almost as much as he loves money, issued a full presidential pardon to Libby under very questionable circumstances: Only two presidential pardons have been issued this century that completely bypassed the normal presidential pardon workflow: Treasonous Scooter Libby and the asswipe Mexican-hating shitbag sheriff in Arizona, Joe Arpaio. The fact that these two pardons were handled completely out of established government procedures indicate that these actions resulted from "someone" in the Oval Office (i.e Trump himself or possibly Jared Kushner).

Former President Donald Trump, 78, seemed to have a brain fade as he mistakenly referred to Elon Musk as “Leon” at a rally on Saturday. “Boeing, I shouldn’t say anything there is a beautiful Boeing plane right there,” Trump told his Mosinee, Wisconsin crowd pointing to his Trump Force One. “But, ehh Boeing had a little hard time, so they are going to save—Leon is going to send them a rocket,” Trump added, referring to a plan from Musk’s SpaceX to rescue the two Boeing astronauts who are stranded aboard the International Space Station after NASA deemed their Boeing Starliner vessel unsafe to get them back down to earth. “He looks forward to it, that’s all he thinks about is things like that,” Trump concluded. The former president has floated a plan to have Musk lead a government efficiency commission within his administration if he wins the 2024 election.

But the explanations caused one Trump biographer to believe the GOP nominee knows full well that he is losing his mental footing.
Timothy O’Brien, author of TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald, told The Guardian that he believes the former president, who once dubbed himself a “very stable genius,” fully understands that he is saying more ludicrous things than ever and is trying to make up for it.
“The reason he’s now offering these convoluted explanations of his speech patterns in his public appearances is because he’s hyper-aware that people have noted that he’s making even less sense than he used to,” O’Brien said. “What we’re seeing now is a reflection of someone who’s very troubled and very desperate.”

i can only hope the prosecutions of trump run full-term and see him imprisoned before he loses the rest of his marbles. There's no joy in seeing a senile old man who doesn't know who or where he is or why in prison, no real sense of justice served.

That’s absolutely correct. Concerns about Biden’s age were legitimate, albeit wildly overreported. Concerns about Trump’s age and the ease with which he concocts paranoid fantasies are somewhere between muted and nonexistent.
