I'm personally wondering if, like Biden, Trump might be suffering long-term effects of a stroke. Now, there is no record that I can find of such an event, but it is not as if Trump would acknowledge such things if they occurred. My own father suffered a stroke in 2009, at the age of sixty-one. While he hasn't had another such stroke, it is a long-time risk that it could occur again. Trump could even have had multiple strokes, including since he left office, for all we know. The decline from even what he seemed to be earlier this year is very noticeable.

My ancestry is mixed - Vietnamese & Chinese on one side, White (Polish) on the other. Obviously of I had grown up in Vietnam, I would likely strongly identify as Vietnamese, speaking Vietnamese and probably Chinese as my first languages, etc etc etc. However, having grown up in the US, speaking English as my 1st language, and with almost all my friends being white or non-white Americans, I very much self-identify as American-Chinese, and because I look more Chinese than white, I identify rather more as Chinese-American, with a strong cultural bias towards the "white American." When I look at my own conscious and unconscious biases, it's very obvious that despite my Chinese persona online, I identify very much culturally as White American, with all the associated social constructs, behavioral patters and biases that apply. Quite fascinating really.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — If it were up to former President Donald Trump, Los Angeles would enjoy “more water than you ever saw” by diverting water from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California, he suggested.

Trump told reporters between campaign fundraisers in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. on Sept. 13 that, if elected, he would turn on “a very large faucet” that he claims could send millions of gallons of water from the Columbia River to Los Angeles.

“You have millions of gallons of water pouring down from the north, with the snow caps and Canada, and all pouring down,” Trump said just an hour into the press conference. “And they have, essentially, a very large faucet, and you turn the faucet, and it takes one day to turn, and it’s massive … and you turn that, and all of that water goes aimlessly into the Pacific. And if you turned it back, all of that water would come right down here and right into Los Angeles.”

One of the potential problems with the Republican presidential nominee’s plan is that his system for channeling that water from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California doesn’t exist, Oregon’s state climatologist Larry O’Neill told Nexstar’s KOIN.

“There is indeed no such diversion system and none has been seriously proposed that I am aware of,” O’Neill said.
