It has been the Gulf of Mexico for 400 years. Presuming to change it is the height of arrogance. It is also -- like calling the West Bank "Judea and Samaria" or calling Israel "the Zionist entity" -- creating a new point of conflict where none existed before. A country's refusal to use "Gulf of America" might in the future complicate diplomatic relations.

That brings up two interesting points:

1) If the people being fired aren't safeguarding your nukes, why were they so hurriedly re-hired when President Trump found out what their jobs really were?

2) Why aren't some people in the military being let go? Surely that can't be the only part of your government that is so pristine it isn't bloated and loaded with "waste, fraud and abuse?"

Not sure what's wrong with the names Judea and Samaria. Albion for Great Britain, Gotham for New York City, the Emerald Isle for Ireland etc. are hardly problematic! Do people living in "Up Over" insult Australia and NZ by referring to them as "Down Under"? It's all poetry and romance . . .

The use of the term "Zionist Entity" on the other hand, is a threat of genocide. What other nation is faced with threats of extermination, from other nations who want to "wipe them off the map"?

On the other, other hand, what difference does it make what the moslems call Israel? The "point of conflict" wasn't created by name-calling, but by the hijackings and bombings and rocket attacks and invasions by Israel's neighbours.
