Why do people contact you for private chat?

Over time, I've received a steady stream of unsolicited private messages from people here and they were almost always in response to something I posted. What started as random DMs has frequently blossomed into meaningful conversations, real friendships, and in several cases, meetups in person.

I suspect you got more from this site than most of us

Okay, sure, most people on here, they're not going to respond to a stranger unless they're the one who contacted the stranger first.

Next, a lot of folks are here and happily in a couple and don't actually WANT to make more friends or sexual partners.

Some do, but are still in a couple, and are afraid of losing the person they have, so they tease themselves and everyone who tries to talk to them. Get permission to have an open relationship, guys and gals and theys. I know that's a scary conversation, but it's more honest than what you're doing.

Some folks are here to meet others but if you don't show them a picture of your GQ model body in the first message or your playboy bunny body in the first message, they lack the attention span.

Some folks are looking to masturbate and prefer erotica and erotic writing to porn, so, exchanging messages and talking to people takes too much time.

And worthwhile people may have their guard up and not want to give you a chance.

And other worthwhile people will get snatched up really quick, if they meet someone on here. So.

The actual window of catching someone who is actually worth talking to, could be very short, or the person just isn't very communicative. Long form letter-based conversations are a relic of decades ago, it's not very Twitter-y.

So, the odds you catch someone with a sexy mind, interested in meeting new friends or lovers, who want to exchange messages with you, are very low.

In my experience. But I keep contacting people and hopefully, at least, make a new friend or two eventually and we can at least bond in platonic fashion over our shared desires and kinks.

That's still fun.

That is a good one- I generally at least try to see if I have something in common with the person I am contacting. Shared interest, kink, hopefully they are female and interested in someone like me, otherwise I'm just wasting their time and mine.

I try to bond with women over shared interests but often times, I don't get even a single reply.

That's OK, too! Not being interested is honest. Imagine instead if she strung me along for several messages, feigning interest, only to reveal the chances of us getting along are still zero.

Just speaking for myself, I have stories that are too personal to share publicly even anonymously. A PM in conversation with someone I have a rapport with is a different story.

When i first joined i listed some basic stats in my profile. I haven’t published any stories and have a few posts.
