Holy shit, it's SO unfair, they might ask her about her ongoing ethics investigation.

Lou Dobbs was whining about this last night. I have now pleaded with Mister Man to switch from CNN to another station while he's on. Dobbs has some interesting things to say, but good lord this bit about Palin being unfairly treated by the press is ridiculous.

Obama has given press conferences, and he has also been on umpteen zillion interview shows. I mean, really, it's not as though he's hiding from the press. He's been very direct and quick to respond to what's out there in the media (unlike the Kerry campaign).

So he gave one yesterday. 5 or so questions on topic. I can only imagine the kinds of questions Sarah would get from the press.

How many has Sarah given, compared to Biden? And, if it wasn't such a "special" occassion, they wouldn't have so many questions to ask her.

Yeah, I wonder what questions she would get asked if she, y'know, was allowed to be asked questions.

She has been on ABC, CBS, and Fox. I hope she stays away from NBC. Fuck NBC up the ass with a tree trunk.

She has more homework than Joe. Who cares what Joe says. Unless he sticks his foot in his mouth like he has a habit of doing. Obama picked the jerk no one voted for. Hope and change baby.

Haha damn straight she has more homework. So many subjects to study up on... The economy, foreign policy, recent history...

You know what I love? (This is my dry ironic voice, btw.)

I love it when you express an opinion about someone on a forum (not here) and they say, "You can't possibly justify that statement."

First of all I actually can.

Second it's an opinion, no justification required.

LMAO.

Just sayin'

:rose:

I don't recall Obama ever facing a news conference. I heard he did (once) over a year ago. Yeah, he does one on one but they are so busy sucking his cock they don't ask much.

Sounds like someone has been to long with a beej and is getting jealous of all the action Obama is getting from the press corps.

C'mon, WD, I'm sure you'll get your carrot wet again soon!

(I kid, I kid!)

Jealous? No. The press has been in the tank for the democrats for years. They gave birth to Fox News with their bias.

I am sick of this press bias BS. It's easy to see where your paper/outlet/etc. is biased. It's not a liberal/conservative issue, hint.

Look at the advertisers.

You'll never see NBC report on CFC's.

You'll never see the CS Monitor report on how GREAT this new drug or that new drug is.

You'll never see FOX say anything that might piss off Murdoch.

You'll never see PBS talk about ADM's weird GMO's.

Maybe you don't see it but I can't watch CNN for an hour without inducing vomiting.

I can't either. CNN and FOX are pretty much the same thing. With the exception of David Gergen, it's news for the terminally stupid.

Whatever, Anderson Cooper is hot!

I do like CNN's morning news. In the evening, I am sort of torn. I do feel like CNN has better talking heads, although there is a lot of overlap with MSNBC. I just like a variety, and it's great when people are actually someone neutral. Gergen is great. And although he is admittedly a flaming lib, I like Begala because he is at least pretty honest.

Starting about halfway through, the look on Couric's face is priceless here.

As for Palin - wow. The end, in particular, would be hilarious if it weren't so totally pathetic.

Why would anyone assume that I, or anyone for that matter, hate Governor Palin? That's a remarkably simplistic and biased question.

Must everything in life be a black and white, love or hate dichotomy? Can there be no nuance or subtlety? Or does that require higher order thinking that's not on the menu?

How about: Love the sinner. Hate the sin. ?

I couldn't make it to the end. She's too annoying.

Katie almost manages to keep the "I'm talking to an idiot" look off her face.

Here's the transcript from the end of the piece:

Couric: You've said, quote, "John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business." Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?

Palin: I think that the example that you just cited, with his warnings two years ago about Fannie and Freddie - that, that's paramount. That's more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us.

Couric: But he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.

Palin: He's also known as the maverick though, taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about - the need to reform government.

Couric: But can you give me any other concrete examples? Because I know you've said Barack Obama is a lot of talk and no action. Can you give me any other examples in his 26 years of John McCain truly taking a stand on this?

Palin: I can give you examples of things that John McCain has done, that has shown his foresight, his pragmatism, and his leadership abilities. And that is what America needs today.

Couric: I'm just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation.

Palin: I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you.
