Well, you see, it's not what you think. I have to use the whip and chain to get them into their room. And you know, for the life of me, I can't figure out why. I'm a nice guy. Good sense of humor and all that. Maybe I need a nose job. What do you think? Be honest now.

Yep. One very nasty troll and some bad luck got me one of the worst scores on here. Ha ha.

I got some feedback (posted twice) that I deleted from someone claiming to be Canadian, after my score sank to 4.47, "Nice story, but why's it posted on Lit? Where's the sex?" or something like that. Bastard. Like Lit doesn't have a freaking "non-erotic" category.

I guess Abs and Sack were lucky this asshole didn't target them for daring to have non-erotic stories on Lit, too. ::shrug::

Between us we have 110 submissions and over 100 stories. The scores quoted are the worst 14.

I/we are not afraid of experimenting with different styles, content, genres and some of the experiments fail spectacularly.

I think that Fag-Ash_Lil could give us a contest for lowest scores - if she could stop begging for cigarettes and write.

The odd thing is that some of the 'disasters' get good feedback and PCs. Perhaps British humour doesn't always translate.

Edited for PS: I posted those scores, not to encourage emulation, but to demonstrate that any score above 4.00 is respectable and that no author should be deterred from writing more by a low score. As you can see I haven't been deterred from inflicting many more stories just because 1 or 2 (O.K., O.K., 14) have been marked down.

That freedom to experiment is one of the things I like best about Lit. I wonder if other writers find the same odd situation we do, that some stories we're proud of get nice PC's but are blasted in the votes, while toss-off yarns score high.

Guess that's why folks keep saying writing is an art.
