I just wanted to pop in and say hi to all you lovely Wisconsin peeps!...

I just happened across this thread today, and do not ever recall seeing it here...

Of course it made me smile because I grew up in Wisconsin...So that is where my heart is...feeling nostalgic seeing this...

I am in Michigan now, but travel to Wisconsin often to visit family...

Hope you are all well and having beautiful weather and a gorgeous day...

Where abouts you grow up here in Wisconsin?

I actually grew up in a town called La Crosse...I remember when I was 18 and could not move away fast enough!...I then went to college in Madison and thought I hit the big times LOL...

...but now in reflection, it is my most favorite place in the world( as well as Door County where we have a family home as well) ...because I had such a beautiful childhood and so many beautiful memories...That is what is touching as we age... memories...

But I do go home to visit a lot...

I know where La Crosse is. Ex-wife lives there. I don't visit.

My familiy also has a condo in Door County. Ephraim. I visit there but not nearly as often as I should or want to visit.

Madison isn't the big time? I live in Madison. Say it ain't so?

hey, welcome. i grew up in michigan and now live here in wisconsin, so i guess the law of conservation of pervs applies here (for each relocated perv there is an equal and opposite relocated perv). not to say i'm your equal, but at least a perv.

Welcome to the Wisconsin board! I grew up in a small town a litte over an hour away from LaCrosse (between LaCrosse and Madison) and now live in NE WI. I visit Door County at least twice a year for weekend visits, usually early in the spring and late in the fall.

I've been to the U.P. a few times and enjoyed it up there. I'm still trying to figure out why the U.P. is a part of Michigan when it probably should have been Northern, WI since a lot of them do a lot of things in WI anyways. I always joke that going to the U.P. is like going to Canada for us. I can't say as if I've ever visited the Michigan mitten where the trolls live (that's what the Yoopers around here call lower Michigan people).

Anyways, welcome to the Wisconsin Lit board. Come back and visit it frequently. Then maybe it won't get burried so deep on the Playground board.

Good Beer drinking weather for sure. My Wife and our friends are getting out the Harleys and our classic cruisers and headin down the river road...Diamond Bluff(Nauti Hog) Hager City, Bay City, Maiden Rock and Alma around Pepin. Crops are done and it's time to whoop it up!

Good Beer drinking weather for sure. My Wife and our friends are getting out the Harleys and our classic cruisers and headin down the river road...Diamond Bluff(Nauti Hog) Hager City, Bay City, Maiden Rock and Alma around Pepin. Crops are done and it's time to whoop it up!

Sounds like a fun weekend in store. That is a wonderful drive along the River. I've taken it a couple of times, but not for a few years now. I bet it is even more fantastic on a Harley. I would love to own one someday, but for the near future I don't see myself owning one.

Crops may be planted but the hay season is right around the corner.

So Donald Driver did last night on DWTS. He was crowned Champion. After his Freestyle Dance, I don't see how he couldn't be crowned Champion. I was worried though that William was going to get all of the female votes across the country (since it is mostly females that watch the show) so I countered by putting in 15 votes (2 phones and on ABC's website) myself for Donald.

Good job Donald and congrats on bringing home another Champion Trophy to Green Bay! It truely is Titletown!
