Wisconsin?

Ha ha. So did I, but I'll take today over the heat we had Saturday. At least this upcoming weekend is going to be really nice. If the forecast holds, it's going to be one of those perfect Wisconsin days that seem to keep me here.

Agreed..i like a nice warm day..but when i feel like i'm melting and i'm standing still..yeah that's a prob for me lol

I poured over it long enough, time to pour me a drink and celebrate.

Congrats on the divorce. It sounds like it was a good thing for you if you're celebrating.

People are bashing Wisconsin in a thread? Those damn FIBs and Mud Ducks! They're just jealous (I think). What's funny is they can bash the hell out of us but it seems like every weekend from last weekend through Labor Day, you will see a ton of them spending their money in Wisconsin. Thank you very much. :)

The weekend was alright. The weather didn't cooperate all of the time (Friday night/Saturday), but I had a good time late Saturday night and Sunday around the campfire while drinking some beer.

Don't be a stranger to the WI forum. Make an occasional stop to say hello to your former fellow Wisconisites.

Thanks...Hoping you had a wonderful week and that your weekend is relaxing and happy...Wisconsin will always be where my heart is...

Week was alright. It's just about to end and the weekend is to start. Nothing planned too much for the weekend so it should be somewhat relaxing.

Nice to see a girl with Wisconsin roots never forgets where she's from!

Have a good weekend and hopefully it is relaxing for you! ;)

Yeah one of the comments was something about Wisconsin producing beer and ginger
or maybe it was cheese and ginger, and "nothing more"
loved it, I was already in bitch mode... and that just pushed my button.
And not the tiny little one that makes me tingle.

I like Michigan neighbors, I think they are the only neighbors that are lovely.
MN , IA , and IL Fucking FIBS need to start paying admission.

I won't advocate one party or the other, but...

Please, please, please get out and VOTE tomorrow (if you haven't already voted absentee)! This is a major election, and there are a lot of strong feelings on both sides. Make sure your voice is heard!

That's all. Have a great day everyone :)

Congrats pretty lady. Been a while since I've been on the thread but good news is good news!

I plan on being the first one to vote in my precinct. Not because I am that anxious to vote, I just have to be to work by 7:15 am at the very latest.

Put your predictions in your post.....

Walker 56%
Barrett 44%

:)

Yippie on the divorce. I remember the day my divorce was final.....:D (good day, gooooood day)

Does this mean we can start hitting on you relentlessly?

Hey WI :)

My work day is over (yeah i work at 4am some days) and got my vote locked and rocked, now to relax and think about what to make for food..

Nice day here on the South Shore..i see some outside time after lunch :)

You were the first to vote at 7:00? On my way into work this morning I had to drive by a township voting location and at 6:50 there were about 75 people standing outside in line waiting for the voting polls to open. I figured I will wait and go right after work tonight.

My prediction is:

Walker 52%
Barrett 48%

It will be a 4 - 6% win either way. I'm just judging by the amount of Walker signs I've seen in the past month.

BTW..........I totally oppose this recall based on how much money this is going to cost the state and it could have been taken care of in another 2 years (this coming from a guy who voted for Barret in last time). The amount of money spent on this election could have been spent elsewhere in the state especially when the state is struggling to balance the budget. I don't think recalls are intended to vote somebody out based on the fact that people didn't like what they have done in office poitically. It is intended to oust a political figure out of office if they have done something illegal and have legal ramifications to them (ie.....when the Sheboygan Mayor fell off the wagon sexually harrassed women out in the public when he was drunk off his a$$).

Some of the best comments to the recall I've seen have been:

- Recall Santa. I didn't get what I wanted for Christmas last year.

- Recall the Giants. I didn't like the outcome of the NFC Divisional Round Playoff Game last year.

I think that is about the only advantage to going into work early, is that you get done early and can enjoy nice sunny afternoons like today! I'm jealous.

I am originally from WI. Still return to visit relatives, and fish. Was passing through last weekend to go up and hang out with the Yoopers (don't know how I never went up to Copper Harbor before), and was really surprised to see the sheer number of signs for the candidates. Seemed like they were in every yard right up to Hurley/Ironwood. Mostly Walker.

It is nice being done early..but waking up at 2 or 3am isn't fun..i don't sleep much.. i cant fall asleep most nights til 10-1030..

So my friend..don't be jealous LoL:)

I'm not jealous of having to wake up at 2 or 3 am. I only that early when I go hunting and then it is 3:30/4:00 not 2:00/3:00. 2:00/3:00 should be a time for going to bed on a good night of having fun (whatever kind of fun you choose) not for getting up. You're getting up before the devil has his boots on. ;)

I'm only jealous of the fact that you're off for the rest of the day. Getting home at 5:30 - 6:00 (like I do) is almost too late because almost all of the afternoon is gone and then in a few hours you're going right back to bed. Not enough time in the day to get things done or enjoy the daylight.

I know what you meant GB..i was just playin around..

Lol @ up before the devil has his boots on! Right..i piss on his boots LoL :D

And exactly..seems like during the week i have no life..that's why when weekends come..i'm goin everywhere and doin everything

I turned out to actually be fifth in line. Eighty people were behind me though. I got there about 15 minutes early. I am normally at work at 7 am so I wanted to be late as little as possible. Next election, I want to be first. Grins.

I liked the recall Santa ones too. I also wish Kathleen would have been in the recall, I liked the No Falking Way bumper stickers.

I wonder what the left will say when Walker wins. Will they continue to whine that they didn't get their way? Will they say this election wasn't fair? Will they realize that they lost?

If Walker loses, so be it. The people chose it. Next election we can vote someone else in.

I voted today after work. I had to wait in line about 25 minutes to register as a 1st time voter in my town. (I just moved).

Once I got that done, took me 5 minutes. They had people moving pretty quick.

Had to vote absentee last Friday because I had a clinical rotation from 6:30 until 2:30, an hour drive and then work until 7:30. Not sure that Wisconsin's going to win either way...

Someone near me had a huge homemade sign that said "You Will Vote for Master Yoda". Maybe if I had seen it before I voted...
I also saw one of those tall skinny trucks (the kind they use to advertise the hookers in Vegas) driving around town with a "Vote June 5th" sign. Crazy!

we would have been better off as a state if we took that money that was spent to change nothing and collectively bought a shitload of powerball tickets...

Good point on all of the money that was spent on this wasted recall election. The state could have invested this money in something more worthwhile, like Powerball tickets.

Now that this is done with, I'm sure somebody will say that this recall election was done improperly and the state will need to revote just because they didn't get their way. Wait until the next election and stop wasting all of this money.

I'm sure there are a lot of people protesting in Madison at the Capital again today.

I voted last night after work and we had 4 districts from the city voting at the same city voting at the same church. The long line was for those who hadn't already registered. I was already registered and the line for me took approx. 5 min or less to get my ballot and 20 seconds to fill in 2 ovals. I think it took me longer to get into and out of the Church parking lot than it did to vote.

I head on TV last night that there is a state wide referendum in the works to make recalls only for people who committed illegal acts and not just because people out there don't like certain policies put into place my lawmakers.
