Women of Lit: A Safe Place To Share

I think this guy should not get near any woman at all and I hope everyone is warned by now. I am worried about young, vulnerable people.
In theory we shouldn't have any young people here... Has anyone reported the creepy dude?

Did you all also get this creepy as fuck DaddyDom message with the weirdest copy paste about abuse and humiliation and all those hearts? I got it a few weeks ago, my friend got it today, it has gotten even longer and weirder.

So creepy and weird.
Yes. Just a page full of bullshit (pardon my French). I got it about an hour ago.

I think 18 is still pretty young and vulnerable. Especially since this asshole is asking after issues at home, abuse, trauma and everything and promises to make it all better.
Agreed.
I remember when I first joined, within an hour I got hit on by a couple of dudes; one of whom linked me to his webcam and tossed himself off. I only watched because I was so gobsmacked that anyone would actually do that! I kinda gag-laughed about it at the time. Bizarre.
But then I used to find Lit a good 'sparring program' to expose myself safely to the weirdos at Lit. These days, I regard those people the same I do houseflies and iggy them away.

It's every egregious, erroneous stereotype of the DD/lg dynamic rolled up into one rambling pile of crap.

As a domme, people like the bozo spamming our pms are a terrible reflection on BDSM as a whole. What a terrible representative for the space, particularly to those that may be new or curiously exploring those dynamics.

I'm the wrong/right one to try and pull that BS on, cause I'll hurt their feelings.

In my opinion we don't use gobsmacked and huzzah nearly often enough

If you can spare 8 minutes, check out the video, really consider the content, then realize how utterly worthless the content in politics truly is.

I don't fear AI.
But the inhumanity of humanity does scare me.
The AI really thinks too highly of us.

James Watson, who died last week, shared a Nobel prize for discovering the DNA double helix in 1953. Crucial to their discovery was a X-ray image produced Rosalind Franklin at Kings College, London. They did not gain her consent to use her work, nor did they credit her. Rosalind died from ovarian cancer caused by radiation poisoning, aged 37. She was never credited.
Watson has variously been described as a sexist and a racist and in 2019 had his honorary titles revoked by some research centres.

Well, at least his flaws got attention, too.

Some of our knowledge is learned by very bad people in very bad ways

Do we use the knowledge?

If I'm dying from something, and the answer exists, but it was discovered by a horrible person in a despicable fashion

I'd still rather not die.

Oh we do use knowledge gained in horrible ways, too.

But celebrating those scientists is another thing. (And in some cases, like DNA helix, we would have found that information even without them.)

I just joined this morning, added description and picture later in afternoon but I had 5 messages before and another 25 after. I haven’t even gotten a chance to read any of them. Some have messaged twice.
You'll find putting them on Ignore only has to be done once :) Sorry you've had a pervy welcome

Unfortunately, you made some classic rookie mistakes.

1. You identified as a woman
2. You posted an avatar with cleavage (although, to be fair, it could have been any portion of a female body)
3. You indicated a positive attitude about sex.

Now, I realize none of those probably seems like mistakes (and should not be mistakes), but Lit is... well, Lit. 🙄🙄🙄

A bit more serious. I second the ignore suggestion, and add another suggestion. Under privacy settings, you will find a slider for show when online (or something like that). Turn it off. It used to be called invisible mode. Other users cannot tell when you are online. When I went to invisible mode many years ago, the random, opportunistic PMs declines dramatically.

I second this. It made a huge difference.
