Watching Spain play this evening you saw an exciting brand of fast, flowing football, with individual skills on parade alongside dynamic movement and an ability to rip open defences.
In contrast, England are stuck in a boring, post-Pep Guardiola quagmire.
Go back to the Champions League matches between PSG and Bayern Munich to see a new style of high-paced, attacking football which is a million times more entertaining.
England's dull, slowball, possession football becomes meaningless when wingers like Rashford and Madueke have been designated by manager Tuchel as the main points of attack but fail to do anything effective as they dither and run into a wall of defenders.
At least Tuchel made some key substitutions to change the game, with Gordon the key to providing the chances for Harry Kane to win the match.
Defensively, England look all at sea: poor covering in midfield and defenders getting dragged out of position.
Declan Rice needs a kick up the backside: he always moves the ball sideways at a painfully slow pace and his corners have been pathetic.
