LOL! What's awesome is that two people can stay in touch for all those years. I remember when she left thinking that we would probably go our separate ways, but it really didn't work that way. She's one of those friends that you call, and you visit, and it's as if you just saw her yesterday.....we just start right where we left off, and it's as if we have been right there together all that time. I can talk to her about anything, and it's the same for her.

I had a friend like that. We met in Honolulu in our teens. Oddly that person only lived a short distance away from me. We were great friends for half our lives.

Sadly, that person died of cancer at 34 a couple years ago. But I know if we met today or tomorrow or next year it would be as if neither of us would have left. So I know what you mean.

Oh Jenny! That's awful! 34 years old and dead from cancer! I can't imagine losing a friend that young! My friend in Denver is younger than I am and her husband is even younger than she is. I have lost a great friend, a gay male who died of aids. I loved him with all my heart, he was a great person, and I know he loved me too. He had moved to Georgia, but we had kept in touch. He was much too young to die......:(

So very true. I have Diabetes Type 2, and I'm only 26 years old! My sister and father have it too, so it's sort of genetic.

The new generations aren't as healthy as the past ones. :(
