Worst Songs Ever

Ugh, you just had to go there. The 80's really are chock full of low hanging fruit for this th'd I deliberately tried not going there. BUT this has to be the one that still makes me cringe every time I hear it.

I'd say Adam Ant's Goody Two Shoes comes in a close second, followed by Culture Club's Karma Chameleon.

But there was a lot of good stuff in the '80's, too ... REM, The Ramones, The Clash, XTC, Run DMC, Depeche Mode, The Cure ...

Um, yeah make sure no kids are in the room.
On the fence between genius or the most shamefully shock for shock's sake since Marilyn Manson.

It's ... umm ... bizarre.

Ouch. What kills me is there were some songs mentioned that I still like today. Grrrr...

I need a life <sigh>.

I think every bad sexual metaphor is in this song. I really hope this was intended to be a joke.

Haa haa oh gawd I've seen that guy before. He tried to enter Eurovision as a contribution from a ficticious country that was trying to get into the EU. Think he's an Aussie comedian.

Mickey? The Final Countdown?

I must have crappy taste in music because I like those songs

You must be a kid of the '80's.

I'll admit to liking Mickey when I was in college, but The Final Countdown? Ugh. That epitomizes the atrophy of arena/anthem rock that should have died with the turn of that decade.

I don't mean to insult you or your taste in music, but I was (and still am to some degree) a new wave/alternative rock gal ... and have great friends from my college radio days who are still into hair bands.

Blasphemy. How can you say that about a song with the lyric "the heat was hot".

Here are my submissions:

Anything by Nickelback. Specifically, Photograph. Vomit.

Anything by Fallout Boy. Specially, Sugar We Are Going Down. I want to rip out Pete Wentz's eyes and shove them up his arse so he can see me kicking his arse for being such a shitty, annoying bass player.

Anything Celine Dion sings or says.

But this next song is the most diabolical and evil sounding music I can ever imagine. There are some groups that have creepy sounding music and weirded videos. NIN can creep me out at times. All of those Swedish black metal bands make me cringe. But this... It's creepy and scary beyond measure. The music makes my skin crawl. The vocals send shivers through my spine.
