Funny question, might spark a little debate:
Do Rogue's powers affect Colossus when he's in his armored form? Because I've seen it both ways. Hell, he even kissed her while armored once.
I just think they'd make a seriously hot couple and I wonder what people think of that.

I don't disagree with Colossus + Rogue, potentially being a hot item. Of course I'm sorta *BIAS* about her...so in my mind she'd probably 'mingle' well enough almost...with anyone! Hehe
I think, in my mind, yes...there would be an issue with the physical touch. Between her and Piotr. Keeping in mind Miss "tight_n_ready's" profile on the character -- most specifically the possible 'psychological' elements(in the powers/abilities section) which may be holding her back -- hey, perhaps...if and that's the case, with enough training....maybe one day, she can learn to *CONTROL* her...'gift/curse'!

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm not as familiar with X-Men as most of our writers here, so I'm certainly not an authority on the subject, but... My vote is: armored form Colossus would be immune to Rogue's powers. It has always been my understanding that skin contact was an essential trigger. I'm sure we could argue either way, what with Piotr's skin becoming metal rather than being covered by armor. But to me: metal = not skin. Therefore skin contact would be impossible and Rogue's powers unable to manifest.
It seems possible for Rogue to eventually control her abilities through psychological training, though - a belief I base entirely on a Wiki entry, not of my own knowledge.

(I mean if it's cited it must be legit, right?)
But it'd be my guess that'd be a super ultimate achievement thing that wouldn't come easily. I don't know that Rogue ever reaches that point of control in the comics... So far as I know, her abilities remain her bane.
Anywho. Alternate reality and whatnot so it's whatever.

Rogue had mastered her ability by the time Cyclops created the island nation of Utopia outside San Francisco. I'm not sure she still retains that mastery, but the last time I saw her she was cheerfully smacking the crap out of the Sam Wilson Captain America, so she's got somethin' goin' on.
Buuuuut, before that, Rogue and Piotr totally smooched.

...anyhow. This certainly is an alternate reality. This certainly is fiction. This is our thing. So the sky is *ALMOST* the limit for these characters.....and I kinda like it that way!
...and Miss "AnyOtherName", please don't *EVER* apologize for not being nearly as much a comic/X-Men fan as "some of the others" in the thread. Truth be told, I think those that are *REALLY* into the comics.......are really outnumbered, in this thread.....versus those that are not(as much). And I think that's kinda cool! As long as people are passionate about their characters, and bring it writing wise......everything else doesn't HAVE to matter as much, y'know? And the FUN dammit! Muuuuuuust have fun!

..been fighting stupid migraine/headache/vertigo escalated action since Thursday. Ugh. Should still be on schedule for Tuesday writing though.
Thank god for 'sick days'. Just wish I was able to take advantage of those days more so, creatively. Ah well. Mann'ing up time for twelve hour shift! Here we go now...

Sorry to hear about the less-than-well status, Lach. I hope you feel better soon!
...As for myself. I never imagined how absolutely exhausting the last month of pregnancy could be. I just want to sleep all damned day: between doing all the little and endless things I've been trying to accomplish to get ready for baby, absolutely nothing sounds better than a nap (which I've been told far too many times to get while I still can).
In general, I'm finding very little focus and a lot of back pains that keep me from sitting at my computer for any prolonged period of time. Which is to say: I'm going to try to keep up with the group thread as best as I can until I go into labor but I can't make any promises. I should still have something for Kitty in the next couple of days but after that I can't say how much I'll be able to post before I go on my formal maternity hiatus.
I'll keep you guys updated!

I'll certainly miss you incredibly in your absence and will be overjoyed upon your (hopeful and eventual) return! Let me know, as always, if there's anything that "I" can do on my own to make things more comfortable for you, easier...and that sort of thing.
Should be having a similar conversation with Miss "SinisterSpiders" as well -- I just sent her a "when is your blessed baby due again" message, because I couldn't remember!
....that being said. With you both. When the time comes, what would you like to do with the likes of Shadowcat, X-23, and Jean Grey? Do you want them 'written out' somehow, to a safe location? Do you want for me to maintain 'control' during the time you are away? Please let me know what makes YOU BOTH feel most happy, and I'll be happy to accommodate in anyway that I may!
