Xavier Institute For Higher Learning

Chihiro raised an eyebrow, questioningly. "Drugs? What's that supposed to mean?"

"I'm just teasing you. Here's my room." She looked around a little and spotted a lap top sitting on the desk. Here, will this work?" She asked.

Chihiro examined the laptop, then input a password quickly. She studied the computer's tech specs, and then smiled. "I think this should do nicely." With that, she plugged the connection gear in, and started to upload the information into the system. Because of the lower power of the laptop, it would take a while.

"This might take an hour or so. This laptop isn't nearly as powerful as the supercomputer or my gear, so we'll have to wait."

"Ok, If it'll take an hour, I guess that will have to do. So are you a mutant?"

Chihiro shook her head. "No, I'm not. However, I have reason to believe that Tai is. I think that's why he absorbed the prototype android. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. There's no way a normal human should have been able to do that."

"The information you are putting in the lap top, is it going to be all of it? Will it be easy to access?"

Chihiro nodded slowly. "It should be easy to access. The real problem will be the display, I think."

Chihiro pointed to the display. "The data was intended for a holographic display. I may have to write a translation program to turn it into a two dimensional image."

Chihiro shrugged, then reached down and started programming the translation program. It would only take her a few minutes, but the trick with it was to use the right algorithm. She tried several different ones, then decided on a basic 3D-to-2D algorithm. Satisfied it would work, she smiled, and turned to face Kitty. "All done, now we just wait till it's finished uploading."

"Perfect. Now you do understand that this is private X men buisness, so don't go spreading around that I got you to help me. I'll talk to Storm on your behalf, tell her how much help... and how discreat you were."

Chihiro nodded. "Once it's done uploading to your computer, I'll erase it from my Gear, unless you think I should keep it on there." She liked the young woman, she decided. A good head on her shoulders, and a good sense of humour. He wondered what her mutant power was, and suddenly wished she didn't have to put them in danger by hiding there.

"Once it's done uploading to your computer, I'll erase it from my Gear, unless you think I should keep it on there."

"No, it's probaly best if you erase it. We wouldn't want a list like this to accidently fall into the wrong hands would we?" Kitty smiled at her. "So who is this Tai that you mentioned?"

Chihiro smiled, then pulled up an image display of Tai. "He's the reason I'm here. He was my assistant, up until Xeno merged with him. Now he's something new. His entire body is the organic equivalent of Xeno. He has access to everything, inbuilt weapons, secondary heavy weaponry, scanners. He can even change his appearance, though he doesn't know that yet. Only problem is, because the merger got rid of the power converters, he has to sleep every 12 hours or so to recharge."

Chihiro smiled widely. "The android was designed to blend in, so people wouldn't know what it was. Tai has never used more than the weapons and scanners. I suppose at some point I'll have to show him the tech specs, but for now, he's fine. Besides, if he were to find out, I doubt he'd stick around to protect me."

"So you are keeping him with you, by keeping him in the dark about all he is capable of... don't you think that is wrong?"

Chihiro shrugged, then looked Kitty in the eyes. "I was the only survivor of the initial startup of Zero. My fiance was killed by the original android. I had to use a .50 caliber revolver to blow the head apart. Tai isn't ready yet. Not by a long shot."

Chihiro shook her head slowly. "Whether I or my former bosses like it or not, Tai IS Xeno now. To be honest, it wasn't my idea or Tai's to take off. The head of the Research and Development division, a man named William Varin, told me that for the sake of the company, and possibly the world, Tai had to be given time to adjust to Xeno's systems and learn everything about it. You see, Xeno and Zero were not designed to take on humans. There is a far greater threat out there, creatures that are able to take life just by touching their victim. They were designed to destroy these monsters by bringing them into our dimension and fighting them hand to hand."

"Ok... So I guess you better hurry and get this on to my lap top before that happens."

Chihiro nodded, then thought for a moment. "I heard one of the students mention something called The Danger Room. Would that work for training for Tai? What does it entail?"

"I don't see why not, you'll have to talk to Storm about it."

Chihiro nodded, then smiled. "So, what's it like being different from everyone else?"
