Chihiro raised an eyebrow, then shook her head. If the circumstances had been different, she probably would have laughed at the jokester. However, she had to explain since Kitty had blended into the crowd.

"Information collected by your Professor indicated that a rogue James Maddrox was on the loose. Even more startling, he was hiding in your kitchen. She said something about him starting an antihuman faction, or something, and we figured we had to do something. So we sent in Tai to pacify him. Tai decided that since his powers were triggered by impact, his best bet was the FG23, a pair of triple gatling guns. I'm sure we can help rebuild, and I might even be able to cover the repairs."

Damn!! He thought as he raced with Nori past the students, shoving some out of the way as he went." Out of the way, let us through." He cryed as he made it into the kitchen and saw the carnage Tai caused.

He bent down and took the pulse of one of the Jamies who seemed to have gotten hit only once but found nothing. He looked at Nori and shook his head. "He's gone." Standing he looked at Tai, then to Rogue as she came into the kitchen. "They're all dead Miss Rogue."

Something about this didn't feel right. Why would Kitty demand that Maddox be shot and not captured and questioned? Shooting first and asking questions later was not an X-men trait.

"Well Stormy, I t'ink we should sit down, dis is a long story..." He started to take a chair, however the sound of rattling gunshots overhead made him stand and move over to one of the consuls in the room.

"Dat doesn't sound good, sounds like we're under attack again." He said as he switched to the security cameras throughout the school and flipped through them quickly until he found Tai unloading an arsenal of bullets at MultipleMan in the kitchen. "One of da students just open fire on Multiple Man in da kitchen, Cherie, and it doesn't look good."

Both he and Storm left the War Room and quickly headed for the elevators to get to the ground floor. He would have recommended flying, but seeing as they were underground it wouldn't have help them much.

Storm

Storm was downstairs in the war room trying to figure out what that funny rattling sound was when Gambit said,

"Dat doesn't sound good, sounds like we're under attack again."

She looked on in horror at the security cameras as Tai started taking out all of the Jamies.

"Oh my Goddess, where are the rest of the children."

They ran over to the elevator and got in. It felt like the slowest elevator ride ever and Storm was beginning to freak out. Then she remembered what Havok had said earlier and started to grind her teeth thinking about how smug that bastard is going to be when he finds out he was right.

The elevator doors finally opened and she caught a glance outside. The sky was black and it looked like it was monsooning outside.

Madrox

"If you wouldn't mind..." James gently wrestled himself from Rogue's grasp, feigning a polite smile. "Thaaaaank you."

Easing himself out into the hall, he was met by a dozen dupes. All wore the same brown coat, unlike the man who'd just been assaulted in the kitchen. Together, they edged past the growing number of gawkers, including Storm and Gambit.

"That new kid and the doc are dynamite, let me tell you," one dupe paused long enough to address Remy and Storm. "Forget bad press. That boy'll ruin ya." Then he was off with the rest of them, marching towards the front foyer. The job was done. Jamie was eliminated. It was up to the others to rebuild.

Cable stepped into the kitchen from out of nowhere. He saw the carnage, then saw the other Jamies disappearing. He shook his head, then picked up one of the bodies on the floor. He planned on figuring out who tricked who.

"The question here is which James Maddrox was the REAL James Maddrox. Only one way to find out." With that, he walked out of the kitchen with the body, pausing long enough to smile at Tai. "I can see why your company wants you. That was your standard secondary weapon. Imagine the carnage if you had used the Railgun."

Surge

Ignoring Cable, Nori continued to electrocute Tai, waiting for him to drop.

Once Nori touched Tai, the armor started to glow from the charge. Once it passed through the armor, his arms started changing shape randomly, cycling through his standard weapons, before he passed out. Chihiro jumped forward, and grabbed the girl. "That was uncalled for."

Amanda and Bryn had barely reached Bryn's room before all hell broke loose downstairs. Gunshots, and lots of them in quick succession. Amanda winched, the sound hurting her ears. As soon as the shots stopped, she rushed over to the balcony and looked down at a small assembled throng of students, some she knew, some she didn't. "What the hell....?"

Babs hadn't even left the kitchen before Tai came in and started things off, making her a witness to the pointless violence. The noise of the gattling guns woke up Mal who decided to take over their motor skills. Without bothering to change the twins appearence he made their legs bend backwards and muscles tighten up before springing them through the kitchen window. Their fingers became clawlike and he started crawling up the side of the manor to avoid the orgy of violence.

Rogue

"Thank you, Chihiro," I said, wondering how one would call Shadowcat a professor of anything.

I shook my head, pondering for a moment over the violence before taking action.
"All students not involved, to your rooms, now," I said, adding enough bite to the words to show I meant it. "Kitty, you're helping clean up this mess, and sticking around to give a report."

Chihiro jumped forward, grabbing Nori, pulling her away from the fainting Tai in time to keep them from both falling. Tai collapsed with a thud on the floor, smoking slightly. That couldn't be good.

"Chihiro, let Nori go," I said, moving up to pull the two girls apart if nessesary. I movement on the upper wall caught my eye. "And Babette, you don't need to climb the walls anymore, hun. Did you see what all happened? I've got it on recorded camera but still, eyewitness interpretation's always handy."

Bryn

The sharp sounds of the gunfire echeod through the house as Amanda and I barely made it into my room.

And what's she do, but take off in the direction of the fire.

Wondering over her actions, I took a moment to grab my swords, slipping them into their belt as I ran to join Amanda at the railing of the stairs. "What happened, Amanda? Is anyone hurt?"

Chihiro let the girl go, then stepped over to Tai. He was in bad shape, so she'd need to get him to the medical facility downstairs. He wouldn't need surgery or anything, but he would need an IV line of heavy nutrients. She shook her head, and tried to pick Tai up, only to pull her hand back as if burned. "That's not good. His body hasn't absorbed the electricity yet. We need to get him medical attention, before the power system overloads and an EMP big enough to fry the city goes off."

Bryn

I looked at the man smoking on the floor and, before I could help myself, said, "If you need help moving him, I can help."

My wings flexed against my back for a moment before I slid over the railing, landing softly in a crouch, wings only partly furled due to spacial constraints.

"I'm Bryn," I said with a nod. "If you know where the medical facility here is, I'll help you. Used to patch up my brothers and sister and cousins all the time, even splinted a few bones. Though I think he's a bit beyond that."

Chihiro smiled, then shook her head. "He'll be fine as long as we can drain his body of the partially absorbed electricity. It's not safe to touch him directly. We need to wrap him up in something. Got any rubber sheets?" She was thinking rapidly, glad to have a problem to solve.

Bryn

I tilted my head to the side. "Rubber sheets? Um no... why would I have those?"

Surge

"I can drain him." Nori said rolling her eyes at Chihiro and glad that Rogue had taken over.

"By the way, my actions aren't called for, please. And this massacre is?"

Cable came back in, and shook his head. "Actually, I think we missed out on quite a bit. Someone might want to grab the other Maddrox, so we may interrogate him. Also, where did Miss Pride go? I think somewhere along the way, we lost someone. Miss Chihiro, what exactly did she have you do? I saw you heading with her to her room earlier, from downstairs. By the way, why didn't you tell them that Xeno could generate non lethal ammunition?"

Chihiro blinked, as she was faced with a man with cybernetic implants asking her two questions. She did the only thing she could, she answered quietly. "She had me transfer some data from the supercomputer downstairs onto a laptop. A location of.... OH GOD. She knows the location of EVERY Jamie Maddrox in the world."
She had a look of utter horror on her face at the realization. Then she realized the man had referred to Tai as Xeno, and had mentioned that he had used nonlethal ammo in the firing.
"You know about Xeno? Wait...He used nonlethal rounds?" She looked down at Tai, not having known he had that kind of access to the weapons controls. Then she realized the young lady had asked her a question too. "Um...Well, we were told by Kitty that the Jamie in the kitchen was a mutation of a mutation, for lack of a better word. Somewhere along the lines, one of the duplicates went evil."

Rogue

I could feel my blood pressure rising as the thought, I'm gonna kill that girl, flashed through my mind.

Forcing it away, I said aloud, "We'll deal with Shadowcat later, whenever she decides to show her phasing little butt up. In the mean time, Nori, drain the excess electricity from Tai so he's not barbeque perminantly. After that, Chihiro and Bryn take him to the infirmary. Great time for us to be at minimal staffing."

Stepping through the carnage, I looked around. "In the mean time, lets get this cleaned up. Thad, there's some really large plastic trash cans outside the kitchen, grab a couple of those would ya?"

I looked at the walls, pocketed with bullets, the carpets, soaked in gore and everything else, muttering, "So much for a quick visit."

Thad had moved out of the way as the X-men stepped in and took control of the situation. He watched as they worked on getting Tai situated. Rogue's voice brought him back to the scene before them and he nodded, "Yes Ma'am."

Quickly Thad walked out into the hall and to a cupboard beside the door. He surveyed the shelves, then pulled out the box of lawn bags big enough to hold a body. Somehow he never imagined himself wrapping bodies in a bag and half wondered if he would need a shovel.

He returned to the room and started pulling bags from the box, then walked over to the first body opening the bag. He then started at the legs and pulled the bag over the feet. He looked around the room and saw Gambit leaning against the wall trying to figure out what happened. Can you give me a hand, Gambit?"

Gambit shook his head trying to sort out what had happened and what caused this mess. The only thing that he could surmise is that the other Jamie that left and the missing Kitty Pride had something to do with this. The other Jamie was right though this would make for bad press if it left the building.

This is definatly going to cut our vacation in the cabin short. He thought as he looked at Rogue and saw her taking charge of the situation. A sudden urge for a cigarette overtook him and he couldn't help but succum to that urge. He took his cigarettes from his pocket and light one up. Right as he took his first hit and exhaled the smoke, Thad asked him for help.

"No problem, you pulled da bag over him and I'll lift him up." He scooped the duplicate up under its arms and lifted it up as Thad pulled the bag over its body. Gambit then lowered the duplicate to the floor and finished pulling the bag over its head tying the bag off before He and Thad moved to the next body. "Dis is definatly not how I planned on spending dis day with you, Rogue."

The gates opened, and Logan drove his motorcycle up the driveway and to the garage. He parked it and lit a big cigar. "Looks the same as ever." he thought to himself puffing on his cigar. He grabbed his duffel and walked over to the front door. He took a deep breath, and opened it. He walked into the foyer, and dropped his bag. "Here we go again."

Rogue

I shot Gambit a wry smile. "You know, sugah, this didn't figure in to my plans either. Oh well, life on the edge."

Logan walked in then and I had to laugh. "Welcome home, Wolverine. Like what we've done with the place?"

I picked up a couple of dups and tossed tossed them into a growing pile for Thad and Gambit to take out. "Figured a couple of throw bodies, some bullet holes, really liven up the place, don't you think?"

The look on his face told me he didn't think it was amusing. Of course, neither did I so I couldn't blame him. "Before you even ask, I don't know why Tai shot up the place, nor why there are dead Jamie dups everywhere nor where the world Shadowcat, who helped institagate this mess is."

Thad continued with the monotonous work of bagging up all of the duplicate bodies. With Gambit's help it was a bit easier and they both got a rhythm down that made it all go even quicker.

How do I get myself into these messes? This morning I was up in my room listening to music and now im waist deep in bodies that a student piled up with his arsenal of weapons who was edge on by a X-man. Something doesn't add up with all of this.

He looked over at Nori who seemed to be lost in thought and just as baffled as he was. The only good thing that happened today was that He and Nori were starting to become better friends.

Gambit paused from helping Thad to take another hit off of his cigarette. He knew that smoking would annoy Storm, but in this situation he was sure she would understand. He looked at Rogue and smiled back at her. "Isn't dis how it always work, P'tite? We try to steal a moment for ourselves and we get roped into another mission or have to fight another insane mutant.

He looked at the door as Logan strolled in to see what the comotion was about and smirked. "Welcome back, Mon Ami, and look you're just in time to help with the light work again." Wolverine and Gambit had a pretty good understanding prior to the trial in Antarctica. They had at times looked out for each other and even saved each others necks when it was needed. They always kept a total of how many times they had to save one another as a joke that they would rib each other with occasionally.

"You other kids standing around, don't be shy, grab a bag and a body and start wrapping them up," He said just before taking another hit of his cigarette and grabbing the next duplicate under the arms so Thad could pull the bag over it.
