Young Justice: Outsiders (OOC)

I kind of want to bring in an original character too at some point, lol. Though I think I want to make him an anti-hero who occasionally joins forced with the team but is kind of a loose cannon and is perfectly content with killing enemies. Kind of like Punisher.

And you're right, Lily. That was our downfall last time. I don't think it's the debate of technical details itself that is the problem, but rather the emotions infused into the conversation that leads to rage quits. There is nothing wrong with hashing out details so long as we don't take it.personally and get offended.

Affiliations: The Light, H.I.V.E., Manta Corps
Family/Friends:

Mother - deceased
Father - deceased
Simon Lacroix - brother-in-arms
Cheshire - close friend
Benjamin Turner - sensei
Lex Luthor - ally
Queen Bee - ally

Bio: The identity of Black Manta's successor is a closely kept secret known only to a handfew of individuals within the underworlds inner circle. His history is in fact an anomaly- an outlier. His records don't appear to exist in any public form as he was raised outside of any society or government. From the age of 1 to 21, this individual was educated in a various disciplines ranging from engineering and warfare, social sciences like economics and politics as well as histories, languages, cultures, etc, etc.

It's been speculated that the man behind the mask is of some Atlantean descent, as abilities such as Hydrokinesis and Enhanced Strength are attribute common among native Atlanteans. However this too, is just speculative as it has not been denied or verified, super strength and hydrokinesis and other abilities could very well be auxiliary functions of the empowered suit Manta wears.

Powers:

-Hydrokinesis
-Electrokinesis
-Enhanced Strength, Durability, Speed and Reflexes
-Regenerative factor
-Toxin immunity

Weaknesses/Disabilities/Vulnerabilities: Dehydration, extreme heats.

So I'm guessing that's Kaldur'ahm under the suit, but I won't ask you to divulge that information. Though at some point we will find out where his powers come from if he still uses them after his suit has been disabled. I have some ideas for how he can tie into the attack on the JLA party I have planned -- I'll PM you in a bit.

So a question about how Dazzle will fit into the grand scheme of things. Would she be at the JLA party, since she isn't really a hero? Or would she show up at the secondary bat cave, as she's being paroled to the Oursiders after being caught? A sort of juvenile Suicide Program, if I understand the concept correctly.

Well, if she's not at the party, she won't be able to participate in the epic battle there. It is open to the public, so maybe she is there as a civilian with plans to steal something valuable. I'm working on the intro post now and still hashing out details for the location and stuff, but once it's done we'll have a better idea of how she could fit into the scene.

In the immortal words of Ash Williams, "Groovy!"

Can still handle another villian? I have batman's old friend in mind. The joker.
"Why so serious hmm? How about we put a smile on that face."

Go ahead and post, Gypsy. I do want to have a posting order, but that's more of a loose system of taking turns to keep the thread from taking off ahead of any of the writers. You can post in whatever order, but we'll use my posts to mark the beginning of "turns." For instance, my intro post starts the first turn, and once everyone else has posted, I'll post again, which will start the next turn.

And Stalzyn, we really don't need a second writer to play a villain as I'll be controlling a number of them myself.

So I'm sitting here and work killing time until I start my audit. I decide to read through the IC posts, and both made me laugh out loud. Sean's "Oh thank god" and Gypsy's "That can't be real -- the rack or the Ruby." LOL. Good stuff :).

Just out of curiosity, would Wildcat be at this event? I'm pondering one more post with a face in the crowd to provide Dazzle a logical reason for returning.

Wildcat may be there, but keep in mind that's he's an older fellow and former member of the Justice Society. He mentored Black Canary and even Batman in their early years.

Well, I remember the mentor part, and I'm trying to remember one or two shows where he's pissed that he's left behind, but at the end of the episode he ends up mentoring a new generation of heroes. I'm thinking a talk over beers and/or protein shakes, no fisticuffs involved.

Yeah, all of the JLA Founders are there. Red Tornado is probably monitoring emergency channels in the Watchtower with a few lesser-known Leaguers out on patrol.

Holy shit, haha. Psimon was able to shield himself, Superboy, and a semi truck full of genomorphs from being detected until they were launching the attack, but how did hundreds of Manta's soldiers appear out of nowhere? Hmmm... Lets say they had a Zeta-Tube in the semi that Manta's force came through.

I was thinking a young Plastic Man would make a good second character.

Sounds cool.

So, unless I'm forgetting anyone, I think we're just waiting on Remec and Tighty to post. Once they do, I'll start the second "turn." We don't all have to post in the exact same order every time, but each person should only post once per character per turn. The turns start and end with my posts, and inbetween them each character should have one post. Once each one has, I post again, ending the previous turn and starting the next one.

Though I will add an exception -- to prevent the RP from grinding to a halt, I will force the next turn after five days. That means if the next turn hasn't started 120 hours after my last post, I will skip over whoever hasn't posted yet and start a new turn.

You're thinking of Batman the Brave and the Bold I'm fairly certain. He ends up with Katana, Metamorpho and. . .I forget.

Atlanteans can pass for human if they aren't checked too closely. The hard part is really how did they get equipment in. I saw Dark Knight Rises.
