Thank you everyone who’s reached out. I really am, you know, as okay as one can be. I’ve got some distance from it, and I did, in one of my crazier moments, track down her IRL best friend and sent here a physical letter in the dang mail begging her to contact me. Fortunately she did not think I was as insane as I’m sure the cramped handwriting indicated, and we did connect and talk, and that helped me process a lot.

Also I’d like to say, I had not really considered that while folks here may not have lost someone that way, many of you have lost important people to other things in their lives in ways you could not publically process, and understand how hard that is. My heart to all of you as well. And thank you again. .

I’m so glad that you got this. It doesn’t make a sad story any less so but help processing can be huge.

Processing loss alone is so very hard. For those of us on Lit without our partners knowledge there are many friendships that can not be shared. If those end up in hurt or loss it is excruciating to grieve that alone.

I often overshare but I do it vaguely(well I try at least) and mostly in threads I’ve started. I tend to use this community for support when I’m down or to share in my excitement and joy when I’m up.
