I've misheard some of these lyrics for so long now...I can follow a line... then lose the lyrics just as quickly. At this point, I don't even want to know what they're singing.... Love the song, though... and have learned over the years to love the lyric confusion.

When this song came out neither me nor my friends know who Smokey Robinson was. So when they heard me singing “when Smokey sins” it became a bit of a running joke for them that Smokey the Bear was running around lighting fires.

I can't remember if I have already mentioned this song but... I love Lionel Richie. Grew up listening to him and would sing this song with these lyrics as a 3-4 year old.

100% agree with this. Drives my hubby nuts though. I sing “douche” loud and proud as one should

slightly cheating in that i don't do streaming services (yeah, whatever). I did try youtube, but it just remembers my previous searches and plays them. I tend to listen to the radio and make a note of anything that i like. So, using that sight variation on a theme, last week i wrote this one down in my little notes section as one to buy as it was new to me. Sadly, her stuff isn't readily available in the UK.
