Hi Brenda Bear my weekend is pretty good, its rainy today and kinda chilly but its Thanks Giving weekend here in Canada so Im off tomorrow too so hooray for that.. How are you?

We live in a very diverse neighborhood. Our next door neighbors are from Japan, the family across the street is Pakistani, we have many Koreans and a few Caribbean families as well. The family behind is is Russian and they always have lively get-togethers. Tonight they had a hibachi birthday party with the hibachi guys and after an afternoon of American hip hop they have switched over to Russian pop. Our nabe is America in microcosm.

It's there but the media blows it way out of proportion. For its size NYC is one of the safer big cities. You still have to keep your wits about you, especially at night, but other cities are much worse.

We have a lot of Homeless people and drug addicted people here.. Its not like it used to be when I was growing up..
