Thanks, a kind contributor PMed me earlier and I was able to add it with my phone. I'm not sure what particular individual characters these are, but a devil and an angel in an intimate embrace pretty much sums up my personal theme these days.

I'm the same way! It takes me a long time to get used to the new avatars, and now that I'm around a lot less frequently than I used to be, the changes are even more noticeable to me. They really throw me off.

I chose my current av, because it happened to be the last pic I had taken when I decided to be whimsical and get rid of the old avatar. No cool stories or deep meanings behind it. I'm still not used to this one, so I might go back to good ol' Barbara. She's served me well.

That said, can someone tell me more about this purple bear suit? Does it come with a belly badge? Can you wear it in winter or will it make you hibernate? Or is it for dicks only? That would be a major disappointment.

I like your new av, even though it is new. OK, I do think of your voice as aimed at your toes a little. But I like the fact that it's unusual and contains interesting shapes and textures reminiscent of nature - as well as BDSM. Plus when you're looking for mushrooms, you're staring at the ground right? AmIRight?

Mine also has no cool stories or particularly deep meanings, although I almost always try to include some green. I am lucky enough to live with gorgeous trees and a number of av photos I have taken have included them in the background. I'm a tree guy.

I like green. I was the Hulk for awhile, which I liked because, not only do I like comics, but when my dominant side comes to the fore, it's a marked and contrasting shift from my normal personality, such as it is. The profile pic hasn't changed for three or four years and was taken in front of a white sheer curtain backed by sunlight.

I loaned the purple bear costume to DVS the last time he was here, and he didn't return it yet, dammit. But the truth is, we can keep the spirit of the purple bear in our avs all year long, can't we?!!!

Can I form words from a half mouth? Do I have a lisp or something?

I like to change mine up. Sometimes it means something to me or the Boss sometimes to friends here. I consider it a privilege when people have given me avs, and love them the most, but also see the more personal ones as a challenge.

I find other people's reactions ( not board friends but people who contact and the ebb and flow of communication) to avs interesting too. I don't take that personally, more as an interesting thing of note. As little changes in the actual presentation of my main theme in avs it's quite funny.

My profile pic I always forget is there. I think I loaded it accidentally from when it was a non theme av.

Not a lisp. Just as you are: slightly hidden, but your voice no less clear for it.

I enjoy the creativity of your avs.

I like profile pics because it's a chance to find out - maybe - just a little bit more about someone. Often people will have a flower or cartoon or painting as their av, but an actual photo as their profile pic.

My avatar is from the sex/comedy movie Sweet Prudence and the Erotic Adventure of Bigfoot. The scene is when Bigfoot enters the sauna and the women see his, "Package." One is impressed, while the other, (a feminist-type lesbian) chastises him for displaying his, "man-rod." Which makes bigfoot hang his head down and slumps away after getting his feelings hurt lol

I'm a bit of a bigfoot fan and I'm really into bigfoot in erotica. Sadly, there's not that many stories on Lit about bigfoot, so I try to fill that gap.

I have had a number of AVs in my time here. Initially I had partial images of bound hands or legs that weren't of me, but "felt" as if they could be me... not too far off of my body type, skin tone, a position I could hold etc. Just lovely perfectly lit images. I did have a partial chest bondage pic up briefly that was me, but it did not last. Initially all of my AV's were black and white. I often prefer photographic images in the grey scale - they seem more timeless. And I am almost always more aroused, more interested in erotic photography if it is B&W/ grayscale.

But then, for valentine's day last year, I put up an AV of myself that I wanted in color. I wanted pearls and red. It felt just right. And the longer I left it up, the more I liked it. Probably a bunch of you remember that AV.

Anyway. for a bunch of reasons, I decided to change it up and found the current image.

It had to be a woman in red. I like that it is a painting (but modern and stylized - and it is not a famous painting or from a famous scene or book). It is a nod to my artistic nature. Also - she is dancing. Something I love to do.

There is something about the image that is both strong and submissive, she is lively (in motion) and yet... somehow it leaves a person wondering... and points to that phrase that a friend of mine here repeats so often about me - "that mystery of red"

A woman out in the open.. but obscure.

The image - while not me... "feels" like me. The right general body type, and long dark hair.

My profile pic is a goofy romance thing that I put up as part of garnering interest in my novella and I never got around to changing it. I don't figure anyone really ever looks at it. Maybe I should change it. I don't know.

I try to only use photos that I take, but there are some exceptions to that rule. My last AV was of part of my face. My current one is also me. I use this now because I am more comfortable sharing more than just my hands these days. My profile picture changes from time to time when I feel like putting one up.

Dick avatars usually end up on my ignore list so I don't have to see them anymore.

What have you been doing?
I'm growing out my hair, too.

Peppermint oil. I add a few drops to my shampoo. I also try not to use heat or harsh products so my hair doesn't break.

I used to change mine up a lot. That was when I posted a lot and the entire board was a LOT busier. Now, I keep it the same as a way to maintain recognizability. I'm not even sure that's a word.

I lose hair quite badly. I have been using an aveda product for hair retention and it's working I am sure. It's not cheap. you are meant to use shampoo, conditioner and the treatment solution. I just use the treatment solution.

My hair LOOKS big but really. It's not enough

I was also taking a supplement but have stopped for the moment. Anything to help it stay strong is a good thing for me.
