Bandit's Blurt and Vent Thread

All went well yesterday but we decided to go to the hospital and get a fistula ultrasound. It looks like it is starting to narrow up again so we will be getting in early for a fistulaplasty ("ballooning") to open it up again.

Hopefully this will take place next week, waiting for a phone call to confirm an appointment. It's been 4 months since the last one, about average. We waited a little too long last time due to Christmas, New Year and lots of speedway to fit in

Despite dialysis every 2nd day we do manage to find some "us" time...after the hospital, a bit of shopping, a nice lunch out and a bit of a rest to let that settle, Sir enjoyed a nice bj and a nap ;) :D

Sir had the fistulaplasty yesterday, and we've waited a day to make sure it is not too sore so we will be getting Him on the machine tomorrow.

It has been fairly grotty weather here, lots of rain over the last 2 days - made me feel like I was back in NZ ;) Though I could do without it deciding to pour every time I had to go out - I left Sir at the hospital yesterday because there was NO parking to be had, but luckily the procedure didn't take too long (about an hour) so He rang me when He was ready to be picked up and we went for a well earned coffee :)

Dialysis every 2nd day seems like a lot but it's really only a couple of extra times a month when you work it out.

Hope all is working out with the dialysis now that the procedure was done. :)
Nodding at lack of parking at a hospital. That just seems to be so wrong. Glad you were able to work it out and got a coffee out too boot. I am sure you both deserved it.

Sending lots of positive energy your direction. :D

We have been having some troubles with machine alarms (air detector then arterial pressure) in the first half hour or so of dialysis, but a suggestion from one of the technicians seems to have fixed the problem (so far).

I'm also having trouble getting the venous cannula in since the ballooning so have had to resort to using a sharp - I might have to use one a few more times to try and re-establish the hole, otherwise I'll have to attempt to find a place to make yet another new one. There is only so much space on a fistula and the needles can't be too close together.

Other than that, and apart from the colder weather which makes Sir's pain worse and the usual problems with Him not sleeping, we are hanging in there :)

Hope the techs suggestions have continued to work for the two of you.

That is such a skill that you've had to learn to do that. I understand about the limited space you have to deal with.

Sorry to hear the weather is chilling down to the point it is causing Gil pain.

I do keep the both of you in my thoughts and prayers. Even when I'm not posting.

Yes, there are times I'm not doing that. ;)

It has been a very wet day in Sydney today - luckily Sir was in bed on the machine all day it was the best place to be! I had to go out to the hospital to drop off some bloods, luckily I had my warm jacket and umbrella because I had to park a shortish walk away in the rain

Almost 2 inches (40mm) of rain since 9am. It's been one of the wettest days I have seen since I have been here. The washing on the balcony is still damp after 2 days. It's beginning to seem a lot like NZ! (They have been copping it as well so I hear from my nieces who have young children or are pregnant and trying to get washing dry with kids underfoot - I remember it well ;) )

Sorry to hear your "autumn" is being such a challenge for you. Hope the skies dry up for you and bring some sun and warmth in.

Not likely - there's a storm forecast to hit tomorrow (was supposed to be today but nothing's happened yet). Strong winds and more rain - lovely! I'm hoping we miss the worst of it, I've checked the weather site and it doesn't look like much will reach our area.

Great news is that the strong winds & rain are due to coincide with my Renal specialists appointment.

It didn't turn out too bad - we had the strong winds at the hospital but it wasn't raining. The whole thing turned out to be a storm in a teacup ;) I've been through worse when I lived in NZ

The specialist was happy with Sir's blood results, no changes to medications and He doesn't have to go back for 6 weeks.

Dialysis again today but will be having a 2 day break so we can meet a friend for lunch on Thursday.

Ditto!

:rose: Hi Kayte!

Looking forward to a phone call from my daughter tomorrow night.

The text message she sent me said she's quit her job (on the dairy farm, wasn't getting along too well with the new boss) so one of her friends suggested she come over and visit me  She also wants to know if I'll pay her fare....I guess I will because she has no internet access or credit card :D

Dialysis seems to be going well lately, although Sir does feel quite washed out afterwards. Back to every 2nd day now for a while. Winter has set in with cold and rain so He might as well be in a nice warm bed!

I am happy to hear the dialysis is going well. I'm sorry to hear he is feeling so dragged out.

Hope everything is working out with your daughter. :rose:

Grrr I can't believe how rude some people can be (well one poster in particular  ) The blinkers are on and his way is the "one twue way" and we are all sluts with no self esteem if we play with others in our over-six-year relationship with the blessing of our Dom

I'd block him but then I'd hardly see any of the threads on the BDSM boards

On a lighter note:

Sir and I were talking this morning while He was having His cuppa and cones before lying down for the morning dialysis session. He told me about some of the pornos He's seen as a youngster. Bestiality  and one about a girl being gang banged by a soccer team.

I said, just as I was lighting a cone for Him, "Ew, I don't think I could do that - you can stick your gangbangs up your arse." Cue Sir going red in the face and choking on the smoke, and then both of us laughing fit to bust.

And I didn't realise what I'd said, until I saw Him almost choke! :D

There are some real losers posting on Lit. They don't really know anything. I just ignore them. And if people would completely ignore him he'd die out, but someone always feels they need to defend something and that just gives him more fodder. Oh well. People need to practice shunning. That is a very effective way of punishment. The problem is it requires everyone to shun him.

Bandit, I love what you said, and your description of Him going red! Umm what is a cone?

Leaving lots of hugs and :kiss:es for the two of you.

Isolated Blurt.

FUCK!

The test came back positive today. They will be scheduling my surgery in the next two weeks to try to remove the mass. I am not happy. This cannot be happening.
