Bandit's Blurt and Vent Thread

Hi Marie :rose:

You aren't alone in having problems with medical tests, I was supposed to have a colonoscopy in March which I sorta did - but the scope wouldn't go up far enough because I have a loopy bowel. So I had to go through all the clean-out and fasting again the following week for a CT scan  Luckily that worked, although it isn't the most pleasant experience to put it mildly.

I hope they manage to sort out the right option for you (if it was me I'd take all the knockout drugs they'd allow me!). HUGS back to you :rose: :rose:

Hugs Bandit!

Thanks Noor, hugs are always welcome

LOL, yes they do. I had a similar call from my daughter this morning so all is good for now.

Really glad to hear that, seems our daughters are sorting themselves out :)

I admire you for being there for him always, and taking all this in your stride. I think he is going to miss you sorely, even though you are only going to be gone for a couple of days.:)

Catalina:cattail:

Thanks Cat :rose:
I know I will be missed, and I will miss Him too. But the trip is needed, Mum isn't getting any younger and I haven't seen her for so long. My niece and nephew are growing up fast too!!

*hugs*

To everyone that are suffering and/or worrying about loved ones.

Bandit, have a great trip.

Marie, knock out sounds good to me too.

Love you all,

FF

*HUUUUGS for Bandit!*

For the last... four months, now?... I've had constant nausea. Every single day, sometimes it's not all that bad but sometimes I can't even drink water without gagging. Been throwing up at least once a week, too.

Had multiple blood tests, x-rays and scans, etc, and now I have to have an endoscopy. Which, okay, I've never had anything like that done before so I'm nervous as it is, but it's gotten to the point where I just want the cause of this found and fixed, whatever has to be done, yunno?

Except the people at the Endoscopy Center are JERKS. I went last week for the procedure and, due to lack of communication and lack of instructions on their part, had to have an IV to get fluids in me before the procedure could be done. I was already mega-nervous, and I really don't do well with needles at all... I originally thought it'd be okay 'cause they'd only have to put the IV in when they needed to give me the numbing/soothing meds, but no, the fluids took roughly 20 minutes.

And then when I got into the procedure room they gave me the numbing meds and *didn't even wait for them to take effect* before trying to shove the whatever-it-was down my throat. ..... And then they act all pissy about it and say they can't do it because I'm too tense. Well no duh!

So I have an appt Wednesday to "discuss my options", which includes endoscopy at the hospital where they'll knock me out completely instead of just numbing/soothing/whatever, or... I'm not sure what else. *sigh*

Marie, I had this many years ago without success but there was another system where you drink a foul tasting, chalky stuff then get scanned which did work & by the way even though I was knocked out cold they told me when I came to that I almost knocked out the doc doing the procedure down the throat & this is why I was sent for the 2nd option with the drink.

Maybe see your doctor & tell him how stressed you get he might set you up with a little helping pill or 2 to get you there a little less stressed.

Good luck & hope they sort things out for you as it sounds like your been through hell so far.

Christchurch NZ is again getting shaken up with earthquakes, 16 shocks in the last 6 hours according to a Twitter site I'm keeping an eye on. My mum was thinking of putting some things back on her shelves again but has now changed her mind!

http://eqnz.co.nz/

People are wondering if these shocks could be linked to the shake that hit Vanuatu last night too.

Report says they have had 16 quakes/aftershocks in 6 hours so far.

New buttonhole almost formed - maybe one more sharp then will try a blunt. Luckily Sir is spending today on dialysis because it's stinkin hot outside
Not looking forward to tomorrow when it will be even hotter and we have to go to speedway at about 3.30pm.

I "heard" the New Year in  We watched a movie (Quadrophenia) on TV which finished at 11.30 and by the time I got into bed it was close to midnight...lots of fireworks went off around the place and then I crashed out until Sir came to bed about 4am. New Year cuddles are lovely :D

It's been quiet here lately - apart from speedway and dialysis not a lot happening.

My daughter spent a week in hospital (from the 27th Dec until 3rd Jan) with glandular fever and a strep throat. She was so ill she was on a drip for rehydration and antibiotics until she could swallow again...also suppositories for pain relief which pleased her no end! She's staying at her dad's for a while until she's fit enough to go back to work.

She's also having second thoughts about her boyfriend, who partied up at her place with his mates while she was in hospital (police ended up being called - because she wasn't there it was considered to be trespassing, as her place is a farm cottage on the owner's farm). I've seen several red flags (the party thing, the fact that his personality changes when he drinks - not for the better - and he smokes pot a lot). Also her dad doesn't like him and nor does her brother. I've pointed out the flags and told her what I think, and now it's up to her to make her own mind up whether he's worth jeopardising her job and her record over if she gets caught with him having pot. I'm confident she will work it out in the end, she has a sensible head on her shoulders.

I'm flying back to NZ next week (unfortunately I won't get to see her this time, it's a short 2 day visit and she's on the wrong island), but looking forward to seeing my mum and brother's family for the first time in almost 6 years. I bought Sir a very loud alarm clock yesterday so He can get up for morning meds and breakfast at the right time! I'll be leaving His meds doled out and He's quite capable of making a sandwich ;) Communication through Facebook will probably be the order of the day, His MSN isn't working and He's on Facebook every day anyway.

My blurt for the day - we went to speedway last night and it was so dusty my eyes are itchy and watery this morning even though I wiped my face last night before I went to bed!

Have a goof trip Bandit! and I hope your daughter loses the loser ;-)

I have been up since before 6am to get Sir on the machine for 6 hours so I can get to the airport this afternoon.

I now know I can set up the machine AND cannulate before morning coffee. How cool is that! ;) :D

Unsure how much net access I will have over the next couple of days so will probably post when I get back on Friday.

Love you Sir and will miss you lots :kiss::kiss::heart::heart::heart:

BANDIT:heart: has avoided doing this trip for too long but I'm sure she will see her concern for me isn't needed.

Hi {{{{{Gil}}}}} :heart::kiss:

I'm sure she will always have concern for you as I know you have for her. :)

Hi {{{{{Gil}}}}} :heart::kiss:

I'm sure she will always have concern for you as I know you have for her. :)

{{{{{{KAYTE}}}}}} Your so right about our concerns for each other although she dosen't see why I worry so about her.

BANDIT:heart: had a good nights sleep & today is a loverly day so they are off looking around, sadly she didn't take the digital camera so there won't be any pics, don't forget the where she is is where they had all the earthquakes & aftershocks that they sometimes still get.

This afternoon I'm off to the hospital for some dialysis so BANDIT:heart: dosen't have that worry.

I hope she is enjoying her time there. Since she doesn't have a camera she can then focus her attention on the present, what she is seeing, and not try to save it for later. :)

Hope everything is easy for the dialysis there. :rose:
