Many of my guy friends who love big women tell me they can remember back to a time they were 5 years old, a few even younger, where they know it was determined then as to their love of big women. Thanks! You know those rooms were really popular in Yahoo User Rooms/Chat back in the day. I know many women don't like being defined by being Rubensque or BBW, but I don't see the big deal.

I don't think there needs to be a why. Current beauty standards are so small - no pun intended - and we shouldn't make men feel bad for liking something different or women for being different.
